🧡 It may still be an unusually warm autumn this year, but I’m still holding out for those lovely crisp mornings,
There’s just something about this time of year that I love — the changing leaves, the golden colours and that cosy feeling that comes with the seasons turning.
Today we’re delivering our autumn wreaths to their new homes, and I’m rather enjoying seeing a little bit of autumn magic heading out into the world.
And whilst I’m definitely not ready to rush through autumn just yet, there’s a little bit of Christmas magic happening behind the scenes…

We’re so excited to be stocking some of our beautiful handmade makes in the wonderful Dreaded Wares on Westgate, in Sleaford, just in time for their Grand Opening this Saturday!
There’ll be lots of lovely small businesses and makers under one roof, each bringing their own little bit of magic, so it’s going to be a rather special place to wander, browse and discover something new.
And, of course, we’ll be there in spirit amongst the dried flowers, besoms and other handmade treasures — ready for you to take a little piece of The Hutch home with you.
If you’re local, do pop along and show this lovely new shop some love. We can’t wait to see it all come together!

🖤 I'm really struggling with weaving the broomcorn stalks, despite cutting down and soaking, so we decided to try out new weaving materials for our broom tops.
Last night we soaked natural lapping cane to obtain this glorious midnight black.
Excited to see how this weaves.
