World 🌍 Humanism Day AND Summer Solstice ☀️

Still cannot believe that I have this incredible role, which has taught me that the connections we build, the kindness we share, the compassion, empathy and respect that we have for each other is the ONLY way to live our life’s to the fullest.

On this Summer Solstice (and boy is it good to see the ☀️) the longest day of the year, it’s reminding me the importance of pausing to appreciate life’s moments, the people we love and cherish and the light that we can bring to each others lives.

And it is here that I’ve been spending lots more time over the past 6 months.

This is me……… ♊️
In my role, you naturally need to be visible, but in reality, that’s completely opposite to who I am (unless you REALLY know me). 😉

I’ve always preferred privacy and tend to work as discreetly and unobtrusively as possible during any ceremony.

If I could blend into the background, I absolutely would. No theatrics…. It’s all about you🫶

That said, if you’d like a little insight to my personality this is probably one of the best descriptions I’ve come across……………….

It’s National Doughnut 🍩 Week! Bakeries across the UK donate towards the Children’s Trust every year during the month of May.

Love these gorgeous sweet bites and love even more that last year G & G favoured this as their wedding cake! So unique and so utterly them. ❤️

I love to see beautiful artistic creations but I love just as much the simplicity of having something completely unique to you too! That’s what your wedding ceremony should be, unapologetically you! ❤️

This is incredibly important for me as a celebrant to try and encourage as many friends/family members to think about. Being at family meetings when there is already so much grief the worry you can visibly see of some family members hoping that they’ve got the tone right, it’s heartbreaking to witness.
It is a very tough subject to bring up but I cannot stress how much this will mean to loved ones if you have taken that step of writing or documenting your wishes. 🤍

It’s been a minute ⏰……..

Having a little more time to reflect over the past month I came across some old photos.

In my twenties being a dancer I was lucky enough to be part of the wedding show industry surrounded by unforgettable moments and incredible people including all the models ⭐️

Back then I was out front, sometimes feeling a little out of my comfort zone……

It feels like a quiet , full circle moment, as I’m now behind the scenes as a celebrant with Fuze ceremonies experiencing weddings in a completely different way, creating and delivering beautiful moments for my own couples.

Same world, different magic and one that I am so grateful for…..🙏🏻
