Stand Tall Music and DJ Tuition

Hey people,
I can’t believe it’s nearly Easter!… time flies, especially when you’re having fun making music and working with brilliant people.

I feel so lucky to be making a positive difference through something I genuinely love: music.
There’s been a really diverse mix of projects with some amazing people, all bringing very different ideas. That’s included DJ tuition in collaboration with Overworld AMP, working on three long-term album projects in very different styles, and even creating riffs for computer games.
I’m also working on a track I’ve written with an incredibly talented 16-year-old singer completing her Arts Award through Trinity College as part of the Mindwaves project with Kane FM.
It’s been great seeing the progress people are making — including one person currently being assessed for ACM Guildford, alongside others all developing their own ideas and direction.
For me, it’s all about helping people find their own space through music and grow in confidence. That’s what makes it so rewarding.
I do have some availability at the moment if anyone is interested in DJ lessons or music development.
As always, I really appreciate any support or sharing.

Wrapped up the year today, DJing at a Christmas party for the good people at Woodlarks in Farnham ❤️🎧

It has been an amazing year for me, and I'm so grateful to be doing what I do 🙏🏻. I have had so much support and I love the diversity and impact of my work.

Wishing all of my students and clients a peaceful and loving Christmas and a positive and prosperous New Year.

I had the best afternoon today. I played Halloween tunes dressed as Lurch (doesn't take much) to the most amazing people, and if they feel as happy as I do, then I have done my job x

I took the leap of faith with Stand Tall..
What has happened has moved me (in many ways) and given me inspiration — people growing in confidence, communication, and self-belief, all through music.
It made me think, what if DJs everywhere gave just one or two hours a week to someone local who could benefit from that same experience?
You don’t have to be a teacher or therapist — just a DJ who cares. Seeing that smile and confidence walk out of your door is the best feeling.
I have the contacts to possibly organise mentors for the younger people and can discuss any authoritary requirements regarding safeguarding etc.,
Music really has the power to transform lives, and we’re in the perfect position to make that happen…
Please pass this on to any DJs you know.
Together, we might build something that helps people everywhere stand tall through music 🙂

I'm very pleased to announce that I am now working with the Overworld-AMP team, giving access for more young people to communicate their feelings through music.🙏🏻

They have a fantastic educational programme for many needs, with recognised certification of skills.

I'm looking forward to my musical mind being further challenged by new ideas ❤️🎹🎧

Had a great session today with the twins, they wanted to work with Minecraft "memes" - little quotes and samples from the film with beats! We are getting all of it sampled up so that they can do their very own Minecraft track 😎

After my appearance on BBC Berkshire earlier this week, they called me up and asked me to do a quiz on Friday! I won't give it away... ;). Was great fun, and well done to Maria! I wouldn't have got a few of her questions! 😊

It's been a busy but positive few months at Stand Tall, working with new and existing students on an eclectic variety of projects. Every day is different and I love it..! I can't believe that it's nearly a year since I took this leap of faith, with a unique offering that is demonstrably helping people of all ages with any aspect of music.

I am also very pleased to announce that I'm going to be working with Kane FM's award-winning "Mindwaves" project again, following a successful campaign to get much-needed funding. The project is very much aligned to what I am doing with Stand Tall in terms of working with young-people of all needs to express themselves and get positivity from music.

I'm very much looking forward to meeting the new students and maybe, in some small way, help people to realise their potential. ❤️🎧🎹
