*** IMPORTANT NOTICE – Surrey Jive are hosting ‘THE KINGCATS’ on SATURDAY 12th SEPTEMBER (7.30 pm – 11.15 pm) following summer break.

The Kingcats have sold out at Ruby’s for the last 3-years (see the photo of the dance floor attached) so please consider buying your tickets in advance, as they are already selling well. You won't want to miss this night! ***

At Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE.

The Kingcats are Surrey Jive’s favourite band. Just knowing they are taking the stage leaves you with a feeling of anticipation and excitement. These guys are the best of the best, and Bill Crittenden’s smooth vocals make them unique, and extremely sort after on the jive circuit. Don’t forget to pace yourself, because you won’t want to leave the dance floor. The Kingcats are the real deal!

In between sets Shakin Shep (Surrey Jive’s resident DJ) will be playing from his huge collection of ‘Red Hot and Blue’ floor fillers that include RnB, Rock n’ Roll, Rockabilly and Jump Jive.

Our dances are well attended, and you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere to greet you. Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall has a large sprung dance floor, licensed bar and large free car park. The hall is situated close to the M25.

We cannot overstate how good these guys really are. They ooze class from the moment they step on stage. With a ‘who’s who’ lineup that includes the awe-inspiring Cody Lee on piano, the extremely talented John O’Malley on guitar, solid JJ King on bass and last but by no means least, the high-energy performer that is Todd Knapp on drums. These guys know how to mix it up.

*** 3 WEEKS to GO until Surrey Jive celebrates the 250th Anniversary of American Independence at Ruby’s ***

Saturday 4th July (7.30 pm – 11.15 pm) at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE.

It’s party time at Ruby’s H***y Tonk! This is going to be a very special Ruby’s, as we hold our very first NEW Country evening. With the dance hall transformed into a western bar, DJ Shakin Shep will be on the decks playing some of the biggest country jivers and line dances, from Brooks & Dunn to The Mavericks, Luke Combs and many more…. If you have never listened to new country music, you will be amazed how close it is to the Rock n’ Roll sound we know and love.

So why not dig out your jeans and Stetson and come and join the party. If dressing up is not for you, that’s fine, it’s your company that’s important. With a large sprung dance floor, licenced saloon and a warm friendly greeting (we are known for our southern hospitality) you will feel right at home.

AMERICAN FOOD will be served at an additional cost between 7.30 pm – 8.30 pm.

The hall is situated close to the M25, and it has a large free corral for your horses and pickups after 6.00 pm.

The Roosters will be delivering an electrifying night of Rock ’n’ Roll, proving once again why they are such a crowd favourite. With a feel-good set list, these guys know what you like to hear, and they will have the dance floor buzzing. Be ready for another memorable night at Ruby’s!

Our resident DJ Shakin Shep will be on the decks, so you can JIVE and LINE DANCE the night away to the sounds of Luke Combs, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, Drake Milligan & many more…….

The hall will be decorated as a western dance hall, and American Food will be available at an additional cost. Same Ruby’s vibe…… just a little more country! You could be pleasantly surprised.

In preparation for this event, we will be holding two 3-hour ‘Line Dance workshops’ at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall above, so you can learn the line dances we will be playing. They are:

Saturday 9th May (7.30 pm – 11.15 pm) at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE.

Playing for you this month are ‘The Firebirds,’ one of Europe’s finest Rock n’ Roll bands and regular headliners at weekenders and other major festivals in the UK, Spain and Italy. Their original 50’s sound has led them to perform alongside Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Lonnie Donegan. The Firebirds have 3 singles and 12 album releases to their name and their self-penned single ’59 Ford’ reached over 7.6 million hits on Spotify. These guys play something for everyone, Rock n’ Roll, Doo-Wop and Rockabilly so please don’t miss what will be an incredible night!
