Nestled beautifully in 7 acres of pristine farmland at the foot of The Pentland Hills, The Secret Herb Garden Café offers a truly unique experience to drink and dine among grapevines, fruit trees and herbs in a beautiful glasshouse all year round.

Our Cafe is closed at the moment while we are planning the next iteration of our Distillery but our Shop and Gardens are still open to the public.

We are still taking bookings for your events later in the Spring and you can contact us with enquiries at [email protected].

As the colder months set in, we've moved our cafe from the Glasshouse into the Distillery for winter ❄☕ as it's a warmer, more sheltered space. So come and enjoy a coffee, a cake or something a little stronger while the garden rests outside.

We will be here until March when we will move back 8into the Glasshouse as the seasons change.

We are still open 7 days a week, 10am-4pm and look forward to welcoming back familiar faces and meeting new visitors over the winter months.

The Distillery Cafe, Shop and the Gardens are closed over the festive period so our hard-working staff can rest and recuperate and enjoy the holiday with their families. The gardens and Glasshouse at the Secret Garden are still open for a winter stroll, then warm up in our Cafe in our new cozy location for the Winter and order one of our delicious Christmas Dinner Toasties and a coffee for lunch 😋

This winter, we’ve taken over the Secret Herb Garden Cafe & Bistro – same friendly team, same delicious food and coffee, now in our warm and cozy Distillery Tasting Room!

✨ Smell the botanicals in the drying room
✨ Enjoy seasonal treats – our Christmas Turkey sandwich is flying off the plate!

The gardens and Glasshouse are still open for a peaceful winter stroll, check our our range of Christmas specials in the shop and then warm up in the cafe for the full Secret Garden experience.

November 28th: Cafe is CLOSED today
Overnight strong winds have damaged the Glasshouse so we will repair today ready to re-open tomorrow but the Secret Garden Distillery Shop is open if you're looking for Black Friday deals -we have 25% off everything this weekend.

Due to the storm warning, the cafe bistro will be closed from 3pm today & closed all day tomorrow (4th) we are hoping to be open on Sunday 5th as normal, we will keep everyone updated once the site has had a safety check.
