We're hoping to announce our official opening date in the coming weeks; but we couldn't wait that long to share our exciting new website for The Garden Bistro!! 🎉

We're super lucky to be located within a beautiful Walled Garden and as such there's lots of outdoor seating for visitors to the Bistro as we look ahead to those warm summer days 😊. For now, please do browse the site at www.thegardenbistro.co.uk.

Just to let everyone know, at this point, we are still planning to open next week but with takeaways and service from our 'Bistro to Go' on site. We are also investigating a potential delivery service.

The Walled Garden is still open and there are lots of dog walkers and people enjoying some fresh air and sunshine.

Following the recent announcement made by the government we'd like to emphasise, particularly for guests who still intend on visiting us, that the safety of our guests and team members are our highest priority.

We have been following the expert advice laid out by the government and Public Health Officials on how businesses should prepare, react and operate in relation to any further spread of the virus.

We will await and respond appropriately to further announcements from the government.

CEC-Catering is opening its new venue - The Garden Bistro at the end of March in .

Located in the beautiful Saughton Park, which has been officially reopened last summer after £8m seven-year renovation project.

Chris Davidson, director of CEC-Catering shared:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be opening The Garden Bistro and bring a fresh new concept to Edinburgh’s restaurant and café scene. The support of local community groups has been fantastic and we can’t wait to welcome visitors and families to the Bistro in the coming weeks”.

The Garden Bistro joins CEC-Catering in promoting ethos of using local, fresh and seasonal produce. The new venue blends in with its natural wood finish and big windows, including a skylight, within the relaxing atmosphere of Saughton Park created by the beautiful fauna and flora. Furthermore, fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables will be grown onsite.

The support from local community - The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society - The Caley & Friends of Saughton Park has been amazing and The Garden Bistro will play a central role to get the local community together.
