Yesterday we celebrated the life of one of the greatest chefs, Rob.

Rob was an integral part of our team bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and warmth to our kitchen. He always found the light in every situation and was able to give the best advice right down to the grams of wastage in a carrot. His cheerful kitchen stories, shared at just the right moment, had a way of lifting everyone’s spirits. We will forever cherish those memories and tales.

We have not only lost an incredible chef, but a dear friend. The kitchen feels far emptier without his big, welcoming smile.

Rob’s legacy will live on at Pinkerton’s and we will continue to honour him in all that we do.
For now, our thoughts are with Rob’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. The Edinburgh hospitality scene has lost one of the greatest there was.
