Another lovely wedding to share, this time from the magnificent Mansfield Traquair in Edinburgh. ✨

It was such a pleasure to marry Mike and Leigh and to get to know them both in the lead-up to their day.

One of the things I value most is being able to create a ceremony that truly reflects each couple, and it was a real honour to respect Mike and Leigh’s beliefs and deliver the personalised ceremony they wanted.

A fantastic day in one of Edinburgh’s most impressive venues, and a real privilege to be part of it.

Another beautiful Scottish venue to share, and a first visit for me to the stunning Winton Castle in East Lothian. 🏰✨

Steeped in history and full of character, it’s one of those places that makes an impression the moment you arrive. From the outside alone, you can already tell it’s a very special setting for a wedding day.

It was lovely to visit here for the first time, and even more exciting knowing I already have a few bookings coming up here over the next year or two. I’m really looking forward to coming back again.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Mansfield Traquair is one of my top five wedding venues in Scotland.

Just look at the ceremony space behind me. It’s stunning on its own, and there’s so much more to love about the rest of the building.

It was great to be back at Melville Castle recently for Sandy and Carter’s big day! 🏰💍

It’s a venue I’ve visited many times over the years, and that first glimpse of the castle as you arrive never gets old. Such a lovely setting for a wedding, with plenty of character and a beautiful backdrop for photographs.

Lovely to return for another couple’s special day. Congratulations again, Sandy and Carter! 🥂

Another of my recent weddings, and this time a first visit for me to The National Piping Centre in Glasgow for Jack and Aimie’s big day. 💍

What a fantastic venue. A beautifully restored building right in the heart of Glasgow, full of character and a brilliant setting for a wedding. Definitely one to check out if you’re looking for something a little different in the city.

It was a real pleasure to conduct Jack and Aimie’s marriage ceremony and help them bring together something that felt completely right for them.

Their good friend Robbie also played a really special part in the ceremony, sharing much of their personal story and adding another very personal touch to the day. It was fantastic working alongside him and bringing all the different elements together as part of the ceremony Jack and Aimie had envisioned.

Another Wedding Walkthrough for you today… 🎥💍

This time we’re at The Vu, right here in West Lothian, and pretty much on my doorstep, only around ten minutes from home.

It’s hard to believe I’ve been coming here since 2009. Over the years I’ve spent countless wedding days at The Vu, originally through wedding films and now, of course, as a wedding celebrant too.

It’s one of those venues I know incredibly well, and it’s always a pleasure coming back. Even after all these years, it’s lovely to still see some familiar faces among the staff and there’s always a warm welcome.

And then there’s the Water Lily itself. That walk in, surrounded by the reservoir and those incredible views, still makes for a spectacular setting for a wedding ceremony.

I’ve got a number of Nexus Ceremonies weddings coming up here over the next few years, including bookings already stretching into 2028 and 2029, so I’m looking forward to spending plenty more time at my local venue.

What a special one this was ❤️

My first time conducting a wedding at the stunning Greyfriars Hall in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, and what an incredible venue it is. A beautifully restored former church, full of character, with its amazing vaulted ceiling and a real wow factor as soon as you walk through the doors.

It was made even more special as I had the absolute pleasure of marrying Fiona and Liam, who are also close family friends. That meant that once the ceremony was finished, I got to swap celebrant duties for wedding guest duties and stay on to enjoy the rest of the celebrations with them 🥂

A fantastic day in a fantastic Edinburgh venue, and one I’ll definitely look forward to returning to.

A huge congratulations again to Martine and Robert, who were married recently at the lovely The Stair Arms Hotel

What a fantastic day it was, with the sun shining and the venue providing such a beautiful setting for their ceremony and celebrations.

It was a real pleasure to conduct their ceremony and share such an important moment with them, surrounded by their family and friends.
