It was an absolute pleasure to marry Chantal and Jobert recently at the beautiful Inglewood House and Spa.

It was lovely to be back at such a fantastic venue, and from the first time we met at the wedding fair, it has been a real joy getting to know them both and helping create a ceremony that felt personal to them.

The day looked amazing, from the outside of the venue to the room layout, and it was great to be part of such a special celebration.

There is something really special about those quiet moments just before a ceremony begins.

Everything is in place, the guests are waiting, and in a few moments the room will be filled with so much excitement, emotion and meaning.

As a celebrant, I always love being part of that moment, helping create a ceremony that feels personal, relaxed and true to each couple.

For me, the ceremony should feel like much more than just the part before the rest of the day. It should feel like the heart of it.

It’s been so nice to see how many couples are choosing outdoor ceremonies this year.

There’s something really special about getting married outside, surrounded by nature, your family and friends, and a setting that feels relaxed and personal. No two ceremonies are ever the same, and outdoor weddings always seem to bring a lovely atmosphere to the moment.

I’m really looking forward to the many beautiful ceremonies still to come this year and into next.

That is why I offer both in person meetings and video calls. Many couples now prefer WhatsApp video because it is simple, familiar and easy to use. You can chat from your sofa with a coffee in hand and still plan something truly meaningful.

Really grateful this month.

It was great to be back at Cornhill Castle in Biggar recently, such a stunning spot all year round, and there’s something extra special about it in October. The colours of the trees and the autumn light make it feel even more magical.
