Susan at Blossom Tree Ceremonies, Celebrants Scotland Marriage Officer

Susan at Blossom Tree Ceremonies, Celebrants Scotland Marriage Officer TWIA Scotlands celebrant of the year 2025🎉 My name is Susan Miller, I was born and brought up in East Kilbride where I still live with my husband, Robert.
(1)

I love to spend time with my family and friends and have many interests which I am passionate about including local community, wildlife and conservation projects. Spending as much time as I can in the great outdoors combines my love of long walks and photography. I lose myself in my garden and reap the rewards when I see it bursting with colour and life. I also find listening to podcasts and reading are great sources of relaxation.

That smile says EVERYTHING.

Susan walking down the aisle towards Robert at Dalmeny Park, and just look at her face.

Meanwhile, waiting at the other end was a very emotional Robert, which of course had me trying to keep myself together too.

This is one of my favourite parts of a wedding. Everyone is looking at the person walking down the aisle, but I get to see BOTH sides. The smiles, the nerves, the tears and that first look at each other.

And then I get the absolute privilege of marrying them. What a job. xx

Forget the champagne… bring the brides a pint.

Amy & Kirsten absolutely understood the assignment.

On one of the hottest days of the year, their chosen toast drink arrived… two ice-cold pints of l***r.

And judging by the faces of everyone watching, I think there were a few guests questioning why THEY hadn't been included in this particular part of the ceremony.

This is exactly what I mean when I say your ceremony doesn't have to follow a rule book. If raising a glass to your marriage means clinking two pints together, then that is exactly what we're doing.

Your wedding. Your way. Your pint.

There are some views I’ll never get tired of… and this is definitely one of them.

Standing at the top of the aisle, watching the people you love make their way towards one of the biggest moments of their lives.

The nerves. The smiles. The proud faces. The little looks between family and friends.

I’m so lucky this is my Point of View.

That moment he sees her… and suddenly holding it together is no longer an option.

I’m standing at the top of the aisle, so I get the BEST view of this bit.

The doors open. Everyone turns to look at the bride… but quite often, I’m watching the groom.

And this is exactly why.

A wee wipe of the eyes as his bride walks towards him, while I’m standing beside him trying not to get emotional myself.

These are the moments you just can’t script. And I bloody love having a front row seat to them.
