My fascination with Ed and Lorraine Warren comes from their work as some of the worldβs most famous paranormal investigators. Their stories, investigations, and controversial cases have inspired countless books, documentaries, and films, and many of the most well-known hauntings in history have been linked to them.
Iβve attached some of their most famous cases, along with a brief summary of each story. If youβre a Warren fan like I am, Iβve also included some must-watch films, documentaries, and dramas connected to every case mentioned.
Whether youβre a believer or a sceptic, thereβs no denying that the Warrens left a lasting mark on paranormal history.

THE WARRENS:
Ed and Lorraine Warren were American paranormal investigators and authors. Edward was a self-taught demonologist. Lorraine professed to be clairvoyant and a light trance medium.
Demonologist β An expert in the systematic study of demons, evil spirits, and related folklore. They research demonic hierarchies, historical beliefs, and mythology across theology, occultism, and psychology.
Clairvoyant β A person who possesses a supernatural or extrasensory ability to perceive events, objects, or information beyond the normal range of human senses.
Light trance medium β A spiritual channel who enters a mild, relaxed state of altered consciousness.
In 1952, the Warrens founded the New England Society for Psychic Research, the oldest ghost-hunting group in New England. They authored many books about the paranormal and about their private investigations. They claimed to have investigated over 10,000 cases during their career.
