In line with our commitment to our wellness strand, we proudly support the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, raising awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research. Join us in honoring the legacy of Doddie Weir and contributing to this vital cause.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐇𝐎𝐆𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐘 🥃

In 2025, this community helped us raise £10,000 for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation — our strongest year yet. That didn’t happen by accident.

It came from:
• Our third festival bottling, created with Fib Whisky
• MNDF merchandise snapped up at our festivals
• The Collectors Club Competitions, who donated from tickets sold
• And a direct contribution from us, Slanj Events.

Lots of small (and not-so-small) things adding up to something meaningful. In 2024, we raised £8625.67, in 2023 we raised £8000 which means since our partnership with MNDF began and including 2025, we’ve raised £26625.67 in total.

And when we include our previous charity partnership with Neil's Hugs Foundation, our Wellness strand has now raised a grand total of £𝟑𝟏𝟔𝟓𝟎.𝟎𝟎 which still blows our minds a little.

Going into 2026, we wanted to do more than fund raise from the sidelines. So… here’s the bit we’re excited about.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that Slanj Events are the Main Sponsors of the Slanj Events Troglodytes — aka the bravest of cavemen — taking part in Doddie Aid 2026.

In March 2026, Barry Macpherson, Dougie Vipond and the team will be getting on their bikes and tackling the Doddie Aid challenge — pushing their legs, lungs and sanity well beyond what any sensible troglodyte should attempt.

Our three strands no.2

Dundee’s whisky story is far richer than most people realise — long before Caird Hall Dundee became home to Dundee’s Whisky Festival, the city was a powerhouse of trade, smuggling, blending and barrel-making.

Once a Major Gateway for Whisky Shipping (18th–19th Century) - long before modern distilleries dominated the landscape, Dundee’s bustling harbour played a massive role in the whisky world. Barrels from the Highlands arrived by boat, were stored in Dundee’s warehouses, and exported across Scotland and beyond.
Dundee didn’t just drink whisky — it helped move it, protect it, and profit from it.

Brace your drams, Dundee — our first exhibitor reveal is here, and it’s a beauty that grows from Ayrshire soil. Lochlea Distillery is joining us for Dundee Whisky Festival 2026, and suddenly June feels a lot closer than the calendar tells us.

Lochlea is one of Scotland’s younger distilleries, but there’s old soul in their spirit.
They grow their own barley. They farm with intention. They craft whisky with a kind of quiet confidence that makes you lean in.
People adore them because every release feels like a chapter — characterful, honest, grown from the land. A home-grown dram with a backbone.
