This has to be one of THE most popular things we posted in the whole of the last nine summers.....its our ARTventurers Summer Bucket List!

Print it out, stick it on the fridge and there's your "go-to" guide for cheap and easy activities to keep the kids entertained over the long summer holidays!🌞🌞🌞🌞
OR cut it up into strips, pop in a jar and pick one at random when you're in need of some activity inspo!

Painting with our feet....it's always an ARTventurers fave! But why......? 👣👣👣👣👣👣👣
🎨It's tactile and sensory - our little ARTventurers can feel the texture of the paint on the soles of their feet and squidging between their toes :)
🎨It's great for learning about cause and effect - they can see what happens when they get paint on their feet and then make prints on the paper
🎨It's an excellent opportunity for working on our gross motor skills, coordination....and a bit of balance is needed too!
🎨It's great for language development when we talk to our mini artists about what they are doing - fantastic words like "squish", "squidge", "gooey", squishy"......
🎨We can use it as an activity to learn about colour mixing
🎨It's a fabulously fun way of getting creative and exploring artistic expression
So next time you're at class (we have Summer specials coming up in August!)
and your little ARTventurer is whipping their socks off to plunge their feet into the paint......just remember all of these fab things they're working on, the skills they are developing and everything that they're learning, all without realising it and simply having a ball! 😍

Did you know ART is BRILLIANT for helping our mini artists to develop language and communication skills! 🎨🎨🎨
How?
🌟When painting or creating, children might need to ask for help, may want to ask for a certain paintbrush, tool or colour of paint or, or they may simply want to express that they’re finding something a bit tricky to do! And they can talk about their creations when they are making them and when they're finished! It's a great way to encourage discussion.
🌟Art can be a fab way of introducing little ones to language concepts like prepositions, comparative and opposites too! Is this rough or smooth? How can we make this bigger? How should we.... ? LOTS and lots of opportunities for learning whilst creating and exploring!
🌟We can use art to introduce lots of new words to children incidentally - they're learning all of the time without even realising it! The different themes we explore each week at ARTventurers allows us the opportunity to introduce new words, phrases and learning opportunities each week to our Baby and Little ARTventurers - we can tap into whatever the little ones are interested and engaged in, MUCH more exciting than flashcards!
Fun, creative, messy AND learning all the time - that's ARTventurers!

🎓🐻 Family ARTventurers Teddy Bears’ Picnic & Graduation Class at St Peter's Church, Dudley 🐻🎓

What a fantastic final class of term we had on Wednesday! 💛

Our mini ARTists:
🐻 Made teddy bear hats
🎨 Created tin-printed teddy bear pictures
👣Made special graduation footprint keepsakes and certificates
🧸 Explored the Teddy Bears’ Picnic sensory area and played in the oat sensory tray
🖌️ Helped decorate our colourful Graduation banner and balloons on the painting cube
🌟 And we finished our Showstoppers!

🎓 We also had two Graduations - Martha who has been coming to classes since I very first started! Also my own son Zack. They are both off to preschool in September! ❤️
