ANNOUNCEMENT TIME...

We are super excited to announce that next year we are introducing the silent disco to Breaking Bands Festival. As the live music has to wrap up slightly earlier due to the licence, we have a bit of time to kill before the late bar closes so all 3 nights will have a special DJ vs DJ battle (including a club classics vs rock anthems night). We have special guest DJ's appearing over the weekend and some of the guys from Voodoo Radio Online as well.

BREAKING BANDS FESTIVAL 2026 — FULL LINE-UP REVEALED

The wait is over. You’ve had the headliners. You’ve had the whispers. Now it’s time to unleash the full beast.

FRIDAY NIGHT Headliners Wrathchild feat Rocky Shades and Gin Annie UK will tear open the weekend with pure metal fury. But before they take the stage, two sub-headliners will ignite the fire:

🔥 Eradikator- Birmingham-born thrash metal, forged in the birthplace of heavy metal itself. A four-piece with old-school grit and neck-snapping riffs, returning to Breaking Bands after opening the fest in 2018. This time, they’re not opening - they’re punching the throat of metal and owning the night.

🔥 Elysian.Divide - Female-fronted, battle-tested, and ready to burn. With a decade of sonic warfare behind them and influences ranging from In Flames to Paramore, they’ll fuel Friday’s chaos with melodic brutality and raw emotion.

---

SATURDAY NIGHT with The Virginmarys and Skarlett Riot closing out the stages, the undercard is anything but quiet:

⚡ GypsyPistoleros - Glam punk outlaw rock ‘n’ roll rebels. Their sound? Eclectic, swaggering, and defiantly unclassifiable. Their world? A sanctuary for the misfits, the outcasts, and the beautifully strange. Expect gothic flair, punk attitude, and slabs of rock that hit like a tequila shot at midnight.

⚡ Hell's Addiction - The comeback of the year. After calling time in January 2024, the UK’s beloved rock powerhouse returns - and Breaking Bands is the chosen ground. Fans were left stunned when they stepped away. Now, the stars have aligned, the amps are hot, and Hell’s Addiction are ready to ride again. If you’ve never seen them live, prepare for impact.

---

SUNDAY NIGHT Fan-voted champions LN headline one stage, punk legends DIRT BOX DISCO the other. But the sub-headliners are just as vital:

🔥 Anchor Lane - Glasgow’s finest hard rock export. After years of near misses, they’re finally making the pilgrimage to Droitwich. With influences from Royal Blood to Foo Fighters, they’re one of Scotland’s most exciting bands and they’re ready to prove it.

🔥 NeonFly - Alternative metal with international pedigree. They’ve toured with Alice Cooper, Escape The Fate, Lacuna Coil, and lit up Bloodstock this year. Their stagecraft is elite, their sound explosive. This is a major win for Breaking Bands and a must-see for anyone who craves metal with melody and muscle.

---

ALSO ON THE BILL…
21 more bands. 21 reasons to never leave the pit. Here’s who’s joining the chaos:

- Blues Rock & Southern Swagger: Alabama Crow (Kirriemuir), Greyfox Conspiracy (Bridgend), Leadfeather (London) — for fans of AC/DC, Blackfoot, and Led Zeppelin.

- Hard Rock Heroes: Death Warmed Up (Nottingham), Electric Black (Hitchin), For The Forsaken (Cambridge), Six Sins Till Sunday (Plymouth), WÄLKER (Birmingham) - bringing the fire for fans of Skid Row, Alter Bridge, and Metallica.

- Metal Mayhem: Chemical Storm Thrash UK (Kent), Secreum (London), SKYE (Barnoldswick), WAR GRAVE (London) - for fans of Slayer, Gojira, and Megadeth.

- Alt & Nu-Metal Vibes: DACARA (Manchester), Rockabye Reaper (Bridgend), Rupcha Farms (Bradford) - genre-bending chaos for fans of Spiritbox, Bullet For My Valentine, and Prodigy.

- Goth & Electronic Edge: Dhampyres (Gloucester), Flesh Mechanics (Swansea) - for fans of Ghost, Depeche Mode, and Faith No More.

- Rock Revivalists: Gwailo (Newcastle), Red By Night (Birmingham), TO NOWHERE (Newcastle) - for fans of Velvet Revolver, Nirvana, and Rage Against The Machine.

- Pop-Punk & Alt-Rock: The Kanz (London) - for fans of Blink 182, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy.

Breaking Bands Festival Announces Trio of Media Powerhouses for 2026...

We are excited to announce three amazing media partners who’ll be amplifying the noise, the stories, and the spirit of the festival.

Leading the charge is Voodoo Radio Online, stepping in as our Principal Media Partner. Known for their unapologetic love of loud music and underground legends, Voodoo Rocks will be hosting special BBFest radio shows, interviews and even a guest DJ spot at the festival too.

Station co-owner Phil (Cat Man) Elsey said "As a station who champions up & coming bands on our rock shows Voodoo Radio Online are extremely proud & excited to be partners with Breaking Bands! We look forward to growing together!
As Massive Wagons sang... 'We're In It Together!'"

Joining them are two more heavy-hitters: Scotland Rocks Radio, bringing their raw northern edge and grassroots passion to the mix, and ERB (Emerging Rock Bands), the go-to platform for discovering the next wave of festival headliners.

Michelle Flynn at ERB said "We are so excited to be working with Breaking Bands Festival. Their commitment to the grassroots music scene is second to none on the festival circuit, mirroring ERB’s own commitment to ensuring new bands get the exposure they deserve."

Co-Owner of Scotland Rocks Radio, Rob Taylor said "We love what Breaking Bands Festival represents and we are very proud to be involved in 2026. We've attended the festival many times and love the way the bands are treated, the atmosphere around the site and the family vibe going on".

Together, these three platforms will help us shine a spotlight on the artists, fans, and stories that make Breaking Bands more than just another festival. don't forget... full line-up announcement this Friday.

🔊 Breaking Bands Festival 2026 x Laney Amplification

Next year marks 11 years of Breaking Bands Festival and we’re officially turning it up to 11!

We’re proud to announce that Laney Amplification, one of the UK’s most iconic names in sound, is joining us as our official backline sponsor for 2026.

Laney will be supplying the full backline across both stages, bringing their legendary tone and raw power to every riff, roar, and breakdown. It’s a massive moment for our grassroots festival and a signal that the underground is getting louder, sharper, and more unstoppable than ever.

And thanks to Laney’s support, we’re giving away something truly special: A brand new Ibanez JEMJR guitar, the affordable shred machine inspired by Steve Vai’s signature axe. This beast is built to wail, and it could be yours.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan, a bedroom soloist, or just someone who loves loud things done right, 2026 is your year.

Stay tuned for how to enter and get ready to break bands, break norms, and break the volume k**b. We’re going to 11.

🎤 Mental Health Outreach: A New Chapter Begins

For the past 10 years, RACPA UK has been a familiar and valued presence at our festival - offering support, conversation, and care to countless attendees. Their dedication to safeguarding mental health and raising awareness around abuse has left a lasting impact on our community. We’re deeply grateful for their work and the connection they’ve built with our festival family.

As we evolve, we’re making space for new voices and fresh energy. After careful review, we’ve decided not to invite RACPA UK back next year. This decision wasn’t taken lightly, and we wish them continued success in their mission.

🔥 Welcoming Heavy Metal Therapy

We’re proud to introduce Heavy Metal Therapy, a CIC (non-profit) rooted in the alternative and heavy music scene. They specialise in peer-led mental health support - bringing playlists, recovery stories, and real talk to festivals and beyond.

At next year’s event, they’ll be offering:
- 🧠 Metal-themed wellbeing activities
- 🎶 Curated playlists and recovery stories
- 🤘 Space to chat, connect, and support each other

Mental health isn’t a side note - it’s part of the culture. Heavy Metal Therapy speaks our language, lives our scene, and brings the kind of grassroots impact we believe in.

Let’s give them a proper welcome.

The BBFest Story - From the Beginning

Breaking Bands Festival was a brand new event to be added to the music calendar of 2015. The sole aim of the event is to bring the very best of the bands of the future into one place to open up the festival season and show what they can do.

The event opens up late May bank holiday weekend with 3 days action packed with rock, punk and metal bands from all over the UK mixing up the genres so there is always something for everyone.

Taking notes from the past 20 years of attending festivals and events, the organisers have put a year of planning into the good, the bad and the ugly to come up with a festival they would pay to go to themselves.

Rounding off each festival weekend the organisers have specially selected bands of a higher level but still within reach of their fans. Bands that the future bands would like to level up to and bands that do not have the ego attached to them of being super rock stars. These additions will be special guests invited by the festival to not only play for the fans but for the bands too.
