This community created event includes a free shared meal, bubble show, reggae music, local band, poets, drumming, story sharing, seed swap and art exhibition! Celebrate one another this June.

Three months ago, I started a journey that completely changed my life 💭✨

It’s hard to believe I’ve now been diagnosed and on medication for almost three months. The difference it’s making to my everyday life is huge — and people around me are noticing it too 💛

My journey is far from over, with medication changes and regular reviews still ahead, but the positive changes outweigh any side effects I’ve experienced.

Most importantly, I’ve learned to understand myself so much more. I’ve finally given myself permission to just be me — and to know that being different is okay 🫶

There’s a reason behind my behaviours, and understanding that has changed everything for me. It’s no longer seen as “just an excuse” — it’s part of who I am, and I’m learning to embrace that every single day 🌱

Still learning. Still growing. Still becoming the best version of me ✨

Public Governor elections at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals open on 21 May, and we are encouraging local people from all walks of life to consider standing.

Governors help represent the voice of patients, families and communities, helping ensure local views are heard at the heart of the organisation.

If you want to stand in the elections, you will need to be a member of the Trust before nominations close. Membership is free, simple to join and open to anyone aged 16 or over across Doncaster and Bassetlaw.
