Nikki and the girls have turned out some lovely food this term at Campsmount Academy. With the upcoming new standards we've taken to trying out a few ideas. For mid morning break we made litte savoury wholewheat flour and polenta muffins, with things like bacon, cheese, spinach, corn, mushroom, spring onion filling which were well received. And the wholewhat pasta, with chicken, roasted veggies and sundried tomato pesto flew out today. Kayleigh's made some lovely cakes too, all with either fruit or veggie like the apricot buns and the courgette and chocolate.cocoa buns, and all made with 30% less sugar, along with a lovely blueberry ice cream. Todays lunch was roast beef and homemade yorkshire pudding courtesy of Pickerings Of Pontefract, so good it all went. And thank you to K.D.Davis & Sons - The Greengrocers for the lovely variety of fruit and veg. We've been introducing students to different fruits these past few weeks.
