I’ve been working in this fab space over the last couple of months and starting to see the results! Decking and patios for entertaining are already in place.. so time for colour! We’re creating several areas of interest including completely new perennials in the raised bed which will grow year on year with beautiful cottage garden plants. Next was to brighten up a dull corner : a disused bird table has provided perfect frame for these annuals which have finally got going …. Keep a look out for the 3rd area.. it’s a complete experiment but it’s coming on!

Fortunately Some things never change and coming home from holidays to check the garden’s progress is one of my favourite things! The cold weather had me worried for a while .. but the blooms are back. The flowers and colours are spectacular this year here in my own wee space! I can’t wait to see how everyone else’s garden is doing … 🪴 ☀️

Hays & Holm Gardening services are blooming away faster than cherry blossom 🌸 came out !
Having found a much more solid demand for my gardening skills , I’ve switched to helping make gardens beautiful .. you can have a cutting flower patch or not!
I’m continuing to grow plants for my customers too.

In November I was lucky enough to attend a botanical illustration course at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh - Mapping Detail and Structure Through Painting. 🖼️ As well as developing my observation, measuring and colour matching techniques, it was a total treat to meet and learn from whose work is simply sublime and I urge you to explore if you aren’t already a fan….
