Today's service at Markeaton was so well attended, that to accommodate everyone, the chapel attendants arranged for us to relocate into the main chapel. My thanks to Sam and Ian for saving the day.

Was honoured to have delivered a service at Markeaton today for a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The team from Co-op, Mickleover, were so supportive, as was Adrian, the chapel attendant. I love my new career.

Delivered a service today for one of my ex-students from my previous life as a special needs teacher. Sian and Jake from Middleton and Wood funeral directors, Burntwood, were very supportive, given that they hadn't met me before, and we'd only spoken by phone and exchanged emails.

Created and delivered a service at Markeaton Crematorium for an absolutely wonderful lady who made such a positive impact on so many lives. I must thank David, from Wathall's, and Adrian, from the Crematorium, for their help today in ensuring everything ran smoothly.

I visited Cannock Chase Crematorium this week. It was my first visit, in preparation ready for the funeral of one of my ex-students. The lovely Chapel Attendant, Millie, showed me around. What a beautiful space in which to say a final farewell.

Don't fall for the funeral webcast scam. If the bereaved family have chosen to share the service via a webcast for those who cannot attend in person, they will share the link with you. There is no charge for those watching the webcast. If you see a message asking for your bank or card details it's a scam. Not only will you lose money, you won't see the funeral service either.

Visited Markeaton Crematorium and met Rachel from the bereavement office, and Mark, one of the chapel assistants. If your loved one is in their hands, they'll be well cared for.

Wonderful open day event at Nottingham Road Cemetery yesterday. Met interesting people, including Trisha, Louise and Aaron from the Coop, and Helen from Wathall's.
