A good care home show should involve the whole room — including the staff. ✨

One of my favourite things about performing my Feel-Good Memory Magic Show is watching carers and activity coordinators enjoying themselves alongside the residents.

They might help with a trick, join in with a familiar song or share a laugh with someone they care for every day.

Those shared moments can completely change the atmosphere in the room.

The show combines visual magic, gentle humour, music and relaxed participation, creating an uplifting experience that residents and staff can enjoy together.

Because sometimes the people who spend their days creating smiles deserve a chance to sit back and smile too.

My Feel-Good Memory Magic Show gives everyone the chance to enjoy the afternoon in their own way.

Some residents love coming forward to help.

Some join in from their seats.

Others simply enjoy watching the magic, listening to the music and sharing the laughter around them.

The show is gentle, visual and easy to follow, with plenty of interaction but no pressure.

That means residents with different needs and confidence levels can all feel included in the same experience.

For me, the best care home entertainment is not about getting the biggest reaction from one person.

It is about making the whole room feel involved.

Not every show is about big stages and bright lights.

Sometimes the real magic happens in a care home lounge.

While in Tyneside for a hypnosis show this evening, I was able to visit Manor House Care Home in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne for a Feel Good Memory Magic Show.

There were smiles, stories, laughter, and those wonderful moments when a face lights up and the whole room feels warmer.

When performing in care homes, I always remember that everyone should experience the show in their own way. Some join in, some share memories, some laugh out loud, and some simply enjoy the moment quietly.

And every response is perfect.

That’s what this show is really about.

Gentle magic.

Shared memories.

Real connection.

Because sometimes the most powerful magic isn't the trick.

It's the moment it creates.

Lovely afternoon performing my Magic Show for the residents at Holmfield Residential Home in Manchester today.

Always great to be back — a few familiar faces smiling away, and some new ones joining in the fun too.

Tried out a couple of new routines… and finished with something a bit special.

After being inspired by American magician Paul Draper at the Blackpool Magic Convention, I’ve added a true classic to the show — the Linking Rings.

Simple. Visual. Timeless.

And judging by the reactions… still just as magical as ever ✨
