Civitas Gaming is a community based in South Wales, UK. Civitas is a friendly community created to help people socialize through all formats of gaming.

We use gaming at our local events as a way to support mental wellbeing and inclusivity, to help reduce isolation and to create a safe space for people to make new social connections and have fun. We host local board game events, digital gaming sessions. Tabletop wargaming and competitive card gaming. Follow us to keep up to date with events.

Hey everyone,
We're looking forward to catching up with you all at todays board game meet from 4pm at Llanyrafon Methodist Church.

It's a warm one, so don't forget to bring a drink and stay hydrated. Cold refreshments will be available for a small donation.

With the local wild fires causing thick smoke across Cwmbran, we would ask attendees to please keep the doors closed as much as possible. Thank you.

Welcome!

You've been summoned to represent (or at least survive) one of the strangest legal disputes the kingdom has ever seen.

The village of Bramble Hollow has received notice that the land beneath their feet legally belongs to a monster named Grumblax, who insists he has the paperwork to prove it. Unfortunately... he might actually be right.

Civitas Gaming will be hosting its first ttrpg game for its Summer of One Shots on the 9th of August. If this is something you are interested in and wish to participate in then please fill in the sign up sheet below.

☀️Summer is Upon Us ☀️

Come join Civitas Gaming for a summer of weekly ttrpg one shots.
Starting the week commencing the 3rd of August until September we will be hosting digital sessions of systems such as DnD, Savage Worlds, Savage Pathfinder, Delve and potentially more.

No previous experience is needed, and several games will be aimed at newer players, but more experienced players are very welcome.

Games will be held online. No subscription nor software needed as it’s all hosted by the DM and connected via your web browser, with Discord being used as coms.

If you are interested in joining, feel free to reach out to our admin team on Facebook, Wasabi Fish on our Discord server, or answer the signup sheet that will be posted in the next few days.

Signups will be posted on our various media platforms, which will include a synopsis of that session's plot hook, include dates of when the game will be hosted, and any other relevant information.

Today's FREE board game event takes place from 4pm - 9pm.

We're looking forward to seeing what games you decide to get to the table.

We have two sessions of Blood on the Clocktower.
Large party games such as Bang! And Flip 7.

Introductory games led by our volunteers for games such as Harmonies, Cascadia, Worms, Jaipur, Hive and Dewan.

Or, bring along one of your own to teach and share with the group.

It doesn't matter if you're new to board games or a seasoned veteran, come and join in with whatever takes your fancy from our vast library of games.

This event is aimed at supporting mental health and wellbeing and to help reduce isolation. We have a safe and inclusive space for you to socialise and do something you enjoy, for free.
Everyone is welcome.

From beginner to the more serious gamer. Whether you're a master tactician or you just about grasp tic-tac-toe. We've got something for everyone. We have a vast collection of board games available for you to use, or bring your own and introduce them to new players.

Come down for some refreshments and a chat. The event is aimed to support mental wellbeing and to reduce isolation. We welcome everyone from ages of 11+ ( 11-17 year olds to be accompanied by an adult).

Our friendly volunteers are there to give you a warm welcome, introduce you to new games and members and be there for some friendly conversation.

We are pleased to announce, due to popular demand, that we have now increased the frequency of The Board Game Hub.

Starting from 10th of April, the Board Game Hub will be available to all on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month.

We are located at Llanyrafon Methodist church NP44 8RA.
Children from the ages of 11+ are welcome but are to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Running from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.
Did we mention, entry is completely FREE?

Come down, grab some refreshments and a board game!
Whether you are new to board games or a seasoned player, we have a large variety of games available to you or feel free to bring along your own.
Not sure where to start? Our friendly volunteers will happily help you choose a game that is right for you and talk you through your first gaming session.
