I made a drizzle from beurre noisette, orange juice and ginger syrup and it worked a treat soaked into the sticky carrot sponge layers.

My favourite midweek treat the night after a roast chicken! Carcass cooked into a stock with ginger, chillies and garlic, with noodles, crunchy bits and crisped up leftover chicken skin.

I would’ve made a cake twice the size if it’d fit in the oven. THAT’S how much I love - I was at their first ever meet up when Olive was just a few days old. And the support that Emily and Eleanor and all the other mums have given me over the last year has been so wonderful I can hardly put it into words.. so here it is in cake form!
