Jackie Fallon has been involved in Strictly Christmas since its conception back in 2017. As a member of original organising team, she took on the role of choreographer and dance teacher, and taught 20 couples to dance a waltz and a jive, and how to perform in front of our first ever audiences.
She also choreographed, taught and performed in our first ever opening show dance. A lively quickstep to the theme tune, The Polar Express.
Over the last 9 years, Jackie has remained a crucial and much loved member of our team, teaching & supporting dozens of Strictly Christmas contestants, and their experienced partners through the process. Come show weekend, she's buzzing around behind the scenes, encouraging our contestants, and as part of our stage management team, headed up by her daughter, Lauren, making sure we're all in the right place at the right time!
Many of our contestants have carried on their dancing, by attending Jackie's extremely popular school, Your Time To Dance. She's taught several of our experienced dancers over the years, training them as beginners, & taking them through their Ballroom & Latin Medals, up to Gold Level. She organises Afternoon Tea Dances and what has become the annual highlight - a trip to the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool for a wonderful afternoon of dancing.
Following the loss of her son, Eamonn, Jackie and her husband John, set up the The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity, a non-profit charity working within the local community to support young individuals (aged 2 to 16) to facilitate their development and ensure inclusion through sport, regardless of any economic, social, physical or psychological barriers. Their aim being to inspire and encourage young people to reach their full potential through being active. Both Jackie and John, supported by Lauren, have worked tirelessly over the last 9 years to fundraise, and organise football and netball camps for local youngsters, as well as provide kit and equipment to those individuals and schools who need it.
But it doesn't stop there. This whirlwind of a woman has also supported the Arden Angels by choreographing and teaching for two 'Strictly Pink' events, and had organised three Strictly Extravaganza's raising funds for Roger Casements Gaelic Football Club and The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity. She's received well deserved awards from Women Who, and MBCC Award for unsung SheRo award in 2018
Whilst we're saddened that Jackie will no longer be teaching many of us, and choreographing and teaching for Strictly Christmas, we want to wish her & John, many, many happy years of retirement. She's not leaving us completely though...... she'll be back to help stage manage Strictly Christmas 2026!
Thank you Jackie from the bottom of our huge Strictly Christmas heart, it’s now your time to relax and enjoy retirement life. 💛
