I helped a family say goodbye to their wonderful father who was a huge Rolling Stones fan… they organised this amazing floral tribute… sadly the photo does not do it justice… it stood as tall as the catafalque and took pride of place in the chapel. The family also prepared the best visual tribute I had seen… annotating each photo… a true celebration of a long life lived to the fullest… a pleasure to work with Stoneman Funeral Director in Redhill…

I recently worked with a family whose father came from Hong Kong in the 60s, worked hard and was a successful businessman. We had a beautiful service, with a translator into Cantonese so it was fully accessible to everyone who attended. As we left all mourners, and the funeral team were handed ‘luck money’ a personal touch. A pleasure as always to work with .a.truelove

I received a heartfelt email from a family recently, following a service I led for them. Before becoming a celebrant, I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my dad and nan at services that were also led by celebrants, but we didn’t feel the same sense of closure afterwards. It’s quite sad, really. On that day, you often feel numb, like you’re not truly present, if that makes sense.

However, I genuinely believe that while it’s an incredibly difficult day, leaving feeling like you’ve celebrated someone’s life can help with the healing process. Being a celebrant is truly a vocation, much like many professions that require compassion and empathy. I love what I do, and I cherish the opportunity to plan the perfect farewell that reflects the life of the person who has passed away.

If you’re seeking help with planning a funeral, please feel free to reach out for a chat.

I recently received a beautiful email from a family I worked with, and this excerpt truly touched my heart. Being a celebrant is so much more than just writing and delivering services; it’s about supporting grieving families. While I’m not a grief counselor, sometimes just being there and offering a listening ear can provide the greatest comfort. The most rewarding part of my job is learning about the person who has passed—discovering their hobbies, personality, and passions. It’s all about weaving those elements together to write ‘their story,’ each one as unique as the person themselves, and then celebrating their life.

I’m truly overwhelmed by the number of testimonies posted on my Google Page. They are invaluable for families looking for a celebrant. Thank you all for taking the time to share your experiences; it means so much to me! Being a celebrant is such a rewarding role, whether I’m supporting families through grief or helping plan a wedding or baby naming. I take pride in personalizing every service to reflect the individual. I listen to families to ensure the right tone and openly welcome feedback, sharing entire scripts so they have complete autonomy throughout the process. If you need assistance with planning a service, please feel free to reach out. I love connecting with people! ❤️❤️

Took a service today at Woking crematorium working with the lovely team . It is a beautiful chapel and grounds and was the first crematorium built in 1885. Beautiful marble catafalque and oak pews with seating upstairs on a balcony. It was a large service so will filled the chapel…a beautiful, bespoke service and a fitting farewell
