A few snaps in between all the flowery set up and driving yesterday. Such a stunning day and a huge celebration for beautiful Maria and Matthijz. Sooooo many flowers but even more jubilation from their friends and family 💗. I worked my flowery socks off yesterday and didn’t manage to take as many photos as I would have liked to - can’t wait to see the professional images 😍….
On that note, I just wanted to thank some of my gorgeous couples who have sent me their professional photo galleries over the past couple of weeks. I am so so grateful and I am swooning how beautiful they all are. I’ll take the biggest pleasure in sharing some of them with you all this week. From grand stately homes, to a Coptic Orthodox Church (my first), from whimsical outdoor wonderlands to ancient intimate churches - this summer has been so varied and so romantic. I’ve really enjoyed seeing how your love is so widely expressed and celebrated. As we move into the slightly calmer Autumn season, I want to send all my fellow wedding industry suppliers a massive amount of love (especially our little wedding florist community) 💗. The industry is a little unpredictable at the moment - we are navigating a lot and perhaps pouring even more effort into our work. People see the gorgeous flowers and they smile and that makes us smile too. Every thank you, every professional image shared, every acknowledgment no matter how small is so very appreciated. What people don’t see is the hours of planning, ordering, conditioning, prep, packing, heavy lifting, ladder climbing, flower stress, weather stress, sooooo much driving, broken bodies, tired eyes. Our clients don’t need to see this but we recognise it in each other - you’re amazing fellow flower fairies - you make it look like magic and that’s what makes you so very brilliant xx🧚
