Time to smash together two of my favourites, and see what the unholy but ridiculously tasty outcome is! I grew up in Birmingham so have eaten and cooked some serious Indian food, and have gone through my fair share of burritos along the way! So here comes the Indian burrito… 🇮🇳 x 🇲🇽

All the best bits of Indian cuisine wrapped up in a handy tortilla, with some lush side dishes… Bombay potatoes in a cheese toastie, and who’s tried pani puri?! They’re single bite flavour bombs filled with chickpeas, tamarind, herbs etc 🧐

The weather’s looking pretty good so we’re whipping out the BBQ and throwing it to back to one of our first menus at The Forest Brewery 🙌

JERK CHICKEN 🍗 This one went down a storm last year and we’ve been praying for some good weather to bring it back! Proper jerk chicken, smoked in a jerk pan, with some banging sides 🥰

Who’s coming down?! As ever, 2 weeks only and then we’ll be rolling on, so don’t miss it! Plus we’ll be running a special jerk burger until they run out 🧐

There were only 5 votes in it when we put this one out for you to choose, so that means a lot of people were disappointed when Po’ Boys didn’t make it! And we hate to disappoint, so here it is!

What are Po’ Boys?! They’re a classic sandwich from Louisiana that’s served in a sub-style roll with Cajun chicken, fried shrimp, roast beef etc and stuffed with tasty New Orleans sauces, slaw and pickles.

We’re going to be doing some limited buffalo fried oysters as well, but these things don’t grow on trees around here so we’re getting a limited run in to have them super fresh!�

Get on down for some fresh flatbread filled with all the good stuff… tzatziki (made with wild garlic), grilled meats, halloumi, house made sauces etc etc

New menu next week, and you get to decide! Vote for your favourite in the comments 🙌

🇺🇸 Louisiana Po’ Boys - a classic sandwich from New Orleans with fillings like Cajun chicken and fried shrimp

🇨🇦 Canadian Poutine - French fries, fresh cheese curds, gravy and loads of different toppings. We’ll throw a bagel in the mix as well

🇬🇷 Greek Gyros - speaks for itself, flatbread filled with grilled meats or halloumi and all the Greek accompaniments

Whichever wins will be running at The Forest Brewery from next week (23rd April), for 2 weeks! Votes will finish on Sunday and we’ll count everything up across all platforms 🙌

What you going for?! The classic smash with smoked pork belly, the pizza smash with pepperoni and hot honey or the Nashville hot chicken?

All of the above are available as veggie and vegan alternatives, and we’ll have GF buns at the ready 🫡

WTF is Banh Mi?!

Banh Mi is a delicious mash up between French and Vietnamese cuisine! It starts with a take on a French baguette, but a bit softer and fluffier.

This is then filled with pate to add some depth of flavour, pickled carrot and daikon, garlic and shallot mayo, crispy onions and then your choice of filling:

🍗 Lemongrass chicken thigh and sriracha
🐷 Pork belly with char siu BBQ
☘️ Crispy tofu with coconut curry sauce

Come give it a go, there's only 1 week left to get it before we change menus again!!!

Banh Mi is a delicious mash up between French and Vietnamese cuisine! It starts with a take on a French baguette, but a bit softer and fluffier.

New menu time! We’re excited for this one!

Vietnamese Banh Mi 🔥 Never had a Banh Mi? It’s a sandwich with French and Vietnamese influence from colonial times - a take on a French baguette (but fluffier), pate to add richness, and then delicious grilled meats (or tofu) with pickled veg, topped off with some sauces 🤤

Come and get it down at The Forest Brewery for the next 2 weeks only!

We’ve got our hands on some incredible bavette steaks from our guys at The Meat Hut, so we’re going to be cooking them up at The Forest Brewery 🔥

Haven’t had bavette steak before? It’s a labour intensive cut of steak so less popular for cooking at home. We brine our steaks the day before serving to bring out the flavour and tenderness of this cut; before cooking super hot and serving pink (unless you beg for well done 😩)

Served with a fresh, zingy chimmichurri or super rich peppercorn sauce made with brandy. As ever, all made in house 😎

We’ve got you covered if you’re veggie as well, with a marinated portobello mushroom and halloumi option (or double up on mushroom if you want a vegan option 🙌)

Bear in mind that these steaks aren’t the sort of thing we can pop to the shop and buy, so when they’re out they’re out!
