🌞✨ Under the heat of a very warm Midsummer sun, all of our wonderful traders are set up and ready to welcome you at the Sparrows Campsite Midsummer Festival!

As an Element of Water, I can confirm that even that wasn’t enough to cool me down today! 💧😅

The village green is looking beautiful, the traders’ stalls are full of magical treasures, and the atmosphere is already buzzing with laughter, friendship, and community spirit.

If you’re joining us this weekend, don’t forget your water, sunscreen, and a hat — it’s a warm one out there!

🌈✨ New Trader Spotlight – Stinging Bullfish Tie Dye ✨🌈

We’re thrilled to welcome Stinging Bullfish Tie Dye to the Earth Spirit Events family! Every colourful piece is individually hand-dyed by Ashley, creating unique festival clothing full of character and creativity.

We love supporting talented small businesses and can’t wait for you to meet him at our Midsummer Festival at Sparrows Campsite, Halstead, Essex from 19th–21st June.

We're pleased to announce something special...

Today we unveiled a memorial plaque for those who suffered through the Witch Trials of St Osyth in 1582. It commemorates not only the direct victims that were executed, but also others who would have been effected such as their children, friends, and family.

The plaque sits in Dead Lane which runs adjacent The Cage. This alley was originally used to transport the deceased from the Church to the town cemetery, so it seems only fitting for the plaque to be positioned here, as this would have been the beginning of the final journey for the townsfolk. It also sits adjacent The Cage, which for many has become synonymous with the witch trials. The plaque is freely accessible to the public, so we invite all to come and pay their respects.

We hope this restores some dignitity to those who suffered as a result of the witch trials, but also that when people visit, it makes them think beyond the folklore and legends and perhaps reflect on what really happened - a great injustice that resulted in the death of real people.

Today, we’re celebrating an amazing milestone—7,000 followers!

🚗 By Car
From Chelmsford, follow the B1007 towards Galleywood. Turn onto Margaretting Road and continue through Galleywood Common. You will find the entrance on the left-hand side, next to the nursery. There is on-site parking available, plus additional parking close by.

The Heritage Centre sits within the beautiful surroundings of Galleywood Common, in the restored grandstand of the historic Galleywood Racecourse. If you find yourself surrounded by woodland, heathland and open common land, you're very close indeed!

We know... it's only June 2026! 🌿✨
But it seems the wheels of fate have already started turning for 2027. Our wonderful venues have been sending out the call, asking us to secure dates for the coming year, and some have even reserved their dates for 2028 already!

So, by candlelight and with quills in hand, dates were woven into the calendar and plans for another year of magickal gatherings began to take shape.

Take a peek at what's already brewing for 2027... and keep your eyes on the horizon, for a brand-new Festival of the Green is waiting in the wings. 🌳🍃

Now the candles burn low, the scrolls are rolled away, and the Earth Spirit Events witches are hanging up their broomsticks for the evening. Time to step out of the circle, rest weary bones, and let the spirits of the land watch over things until dawn.
