Not long to wait for this months Boho Banter 🎉
Tuesday 24th February 7-9pm at Reubys
Reuby's Salt Beef & Cheesecake Bar
Our headliner will be Author Kate Baker.
She will read from her first novel ‘Maid of Steel’ share some of her experience leading up to becoming published, as well as answer any questions we may have.
Personally I loved the book and can’t wait for her next one.

Kate published her debut novel in 2023, having taken four years to bring the idea to fruition. She has also written short stories and has had eight published for People’s Friend magazine.

She has spent the last six months working hard on her second novel and hopes to see it published by the end of this year.

Just 2days to go for our first Boho Banter Boho Open mic of the year Tuesday 27th January as well as our first event at Reuby’s Salt Beef & Cheesecake Bar

Doors will be open from daytime so come get your seats and grub .
Usual format, we start at 7pm with me as your ever bumbling compère, headline act 25-30 minutes, short break, then open mic 🎤 session on first come first serve basis

🌟Tuesdays 25-30 minute headline, Monica Rasky will be reading from her play Misty & Driftsoul, the play explores grief, mental health, creativity, and belonging through the story of two young artists who meet in a mist-filled, symbolic realm. The accompanying art exhibition presents Sprake’s planets, created after the loss of his son to an incurable disease, which inspired the visual and emotional language of the play. 🌟

I have just this morning heard that Jessica’s Place is closing.
I’ve left a comment on the fb page thanking Jessica for her continued support of Boho Banter.
I’m in talks now arranging a new and exciting Clacton venue where we can carry on bantering 🎤
so keep your eyes peeled !

Lovely evening hearing tales of Bifs 🐈‍⬛ actual adventures, as well as his imaginary ones.
I’m just sorry that I never got to know the character that was Bif!
Monica’s books are available on Amazon, as well as from her in person.
Great presents for little and adult children alike!
She’ll be Boho’s first headline act of the year on Tuesday January 27th 2026. 🎉
