Our August Fishing Report is out, together with our predictions for the best flies to use in September.

The recent rains have refreshed the river and we've started to get some decent returns again, including the occasional sea trout.

With less than a month to go in the season, we hope that you'll be able to join us for a day or two on the river. Fishing can be added to any stay and our Fishing Break package includes dinner, bed and breakfast, as well as fishing for just £159/night.

Our very own Head Chef James Nightingale secures a coveted place in the semi finals of the 2025 South West Chef of the Year competition which takes place at the end of September.

THE heat is on for a group of Devon-based chefs who have secured their places in the semi-finals of the prestigious South West Chef of the Year Competition.

We will be closed Friday, open for drinks Saturday evening from 16.00 along with our Tomahawk steak night for those that have booked.

Sunday open as usual for our carvery and evening meals.
