Over the last 18 months I have taken a step back to really reflect on the style & type of events that bring me the most joy.

Instead of creating styled shoots & consuming lots on social media I took a break and worked behind the scenes on building a brand & style that was a true reflection of me & my values!

Whether you are a new follower or you have been here for a little while, today I am sharing a little more about me 😍⁠

✨ I moved to London in 2012 to follow my dreams of working in luxury events. I applied for a new hotel opening - now the very well-known Corinthia and much to my surprise I got the job!.... ⁠I quit my Manchester job, rented my room out, and moved to London within 4 weeks! 😲 ..... This is also when my love affair with weddings and all things luxury started! ⁠

✨ I have planned VIP events (or junkets) as they are known in the entertainment industry for many blockbuster movies and their stars! 🎥 🤩⁠

✨ I bought my first house with my husband James in 2017. It was like stepping back into the '80s inside with limestone-clad walls, wooden beams, crazy paving, and even suspended office-style ceilings! It was a huge renovation project for us, we still have the kitchen & garden to finish but have some big plans for this for 2023 👀

✨ I love nature and always have! I grew up in the country and had lots of pets including a horse, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, doves, and even chickens!....... Now I just have Lottie the sausage dog 🐶 but I love to spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors. ⁠

✨ I am a productive morning person and power through lots of tasks in the earlier part of the day. By 8pm, I am falling asleep! 😴⁠

Evening Reception Transformation Pending 🎉👇👇

I can remember the exact words S&P used to describe their vision for their evening reception:

🕺 A big party

😯 We want our guests to go WOW

🍸 Free flowing drinks & speciality cocktails

🎷 Live music with a twist

This was music to my ears as I LOVE having freedom to get creative! 😍

S&P’s ceremony & eve reception took place in the same space so it was I important to create a completely different look & feel so guests felt transported to a different venue!

This is how we did it:

💡 Lighting & lots of it!

🛋 Lounge furniture

🍹 Bespoke cocktail bar

🥁 6 piece fix function band with surprise saxophonist half way through the eve!

🤩 We even had a bespoke gobo & neon light created captioned ‘ITS A LONDON THING’ which was their evening theme!

When guests moved into this space they were speechless with the transformation - result! 😯

Take your seats 🌿 When I first met S&P they had a really clear vision for their wedding breakfast.

🌿 Intimate round tables
🌿 Low florals to encourage conversation
🌿 4-5 courses with lots of wine!
🌿 A nod to an Italian heritage
🌿 A simple yet elegant design

But they needed some help bringing this to reality!

Over the course of 9 months we worked together fine tuning our ideas.

I had to work really hard to persuade S&P to go for low bowls on their dinner tables. Any less and the flowers would have not had the impact they had hoped for.

We also went back & forth on Olive Trees to frame the top table but I am so pleased they went for urns of tumbling florals instead with lots of olive leaves to tie in the design.

It is fair to say they were blown away with the end result 💁‍♀️

From vision to reality! 🌿 Scott & Paul’s stylish London Town House wedding was a joy to design!

The brief was an elegant wedding in the heart of London with a nod to an Italian heritage. 🇮🇹

With lots of little details to make guests feel extra special.

They opted for a timeless green & white colour palette and I persuaded them to add a hint of blue to make their dinner tables pop!

I really enjoyed bringing their design to life, S&P trusted me with their vision & were open to ideas & suggestions!

CEREMONY GOALS 🌺

A&R’s original plans of a destination wedding in Greece were cancelled due to you know what back in 2020.

Instead they had a very intimate ceremony and when restrictions lifted were planning a bigger celebration.

But they were running out of time to source their last few suppliers & although they had a vision for their day were struggling to bring it to life.

That’s where I stepped in! 💫

After an initial call with Amy I created a wedding design that captured all her ideas and more!

I then setup about sourcing suppliers who could help achieve this design.

Our goals for the ceremony was to recreate her Greek ceremony, with a meadow aisle and abundance of flowers.

I also had to incorporate the pillars within the room so they became a seamless part of the design.

We used bright pops of burgundy & pink to tie in with the colour scheme of the room and voila!

A&R’s colourful & timeless day at the RAC Pallmall was a highlight of the year!

We used high & low florals, lighting & elegant taper candles to transform the ballroom into an elegant, fun & vibrant wedding breakfast backdrop! 💫
