Autumn is officially here! 🍁

If you’re planning an Autumn wedding, you’re in for a treat because this time of year brings so much natural beauty and cosy vibes to inspire your big day. Here are some trends for an Autumn wedding:

Colour Palettes
Think warm, earthy tones like burnt orange and deep burgundy, paired with rich greens or midnight blues for an elegant, moody contrast. Metallics like copper and gold will also make a statement.

Textures and Materials
Autumn is all about cosy textures. Velvet bridesmaid dresses, tweed suits for the groomsmen, and linens mixed with rich wood accents. Add faux furs or chunky knitted blankets to create a warm and snug feeling for your guests.

Florals and Greenery
Dried flowers are carrying over from last season. Pampas grass, eucalyptus and autumn leaves add a rustic yet sophisticated vibe. For pops of colour, go for something like dahlias, marigolds or chrysanthemums.

Décor
Rustic elegance is still big, with fairy lights, moss-covered tablescapes and candles galore! Don’t forget about adding personalised, nature-inspired elements like wooden signage or leaf place cards.

Cosy Vibes
Fire pits, s’mores stations, hot cider bars and candlelit tables. It’s all about creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for your guests to enjoy the crisp autumn air.

If you’re planning an Autumn wedding or attending one soon, I’m sure you’re going to love these trends.

Have you ever wondered why we get down on one knee to propose?

The tradition goes back to medieval times where knights would bow down with one knee touching the ground to show respect to lords in positions of honour, as well as to noblewomen. It was also associated with love, as knights would bow to the woman they love as a sign of devotion.

In medieval times, kneeling also represented religious devotion during prayers. So when someone drops down on one knee to propose, they’re not just asking a question, they’re pledging their life, love, and commitment to you!

If you’ve recently got engaged, congratulations! I’d love to help you create an unforgettable day by taking care of every detail so you can focus on enjoying your engagement.

Send me a message or an email and I’ll be in touch.

Happy Bank Holiday Monday!

If you’re currently planning your big day, here are some tips to make it a smoother process and more enjoyable:

Start Early: The sooner you begin, the more time you’ll have to make thoughtful decisions. This can also help you secure your preferred suppliers and venue

Prioritise: Decide what’s most important to you and your partner eg. the venue, food or photography, then allocate your budget accordingly

Stay Organised: Use a planner or wedding apps to keep track of tasks, appointments, and ideas. I love lists, they are your best friend!

Delegate: Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it’s friends, family, or a Wedding Planner, sharing the workload can make the process more fun and less stressful

Self-Care: Wedding planning can be overwhelming, so make sure to take breaks and focus on your wellbeing. A happy bride and groom = a happy wedding!

Personal Touch: Incorporate elements that reflect you as a couple. Whether it’s a unique theme, custom favours, or special vows, make it YOUR day.

Remember that weddings are all about celebrating love. Don’t stress the small stuff. Focus on making memories that last a lifetime 💕

A great piece of advice for couples planning their wedding is to prioritise what truly matters to you both.

Weddings can be overwhelming with lots of details and expectations, but it’s important to focus on the elements that are most meaningful to you as a couple. This could be the venue, the guest list, the food, or even the music.

Communicate openly with each other about your preferences, and don’t be afraid to let go of traditions or ideas that don’t resonate with you.

This will help you create a day that feels authentic and special, without unnecessary stress.

From personalised details to sustainability, 2024 summer weddings have been all about making your big day unique! Here are some summer wedding trends I’m loving.

Heart shaped cakes - popular for the option to be personalised and very social media friendly

Lightweight bridal gowns - think open backs and minimalistic designs

Playful and interactive elements - couples are using ice cream carts and garden games to keep their guests entertained

Eco-friendly favours - things like seed packets and potted plants have been very popular

Al fresco dining - dining under the stars or in picturesque outdoor settings is a major trend

Personalised cocktails - signature drinks are becoming a staple at wedding receptions

Have you recently got engaged and you’re not sure where to start with planning a wedding?

First of all, congratulations! Planning a wedding is such an exciting journey, but it can also feel overwhelming.

Here’s a 5 step guide to help you get started:

1. Set a budget

Sit down with your partner to determine how much you want to spend on your wedding and what is most important to you. Is it the venue, the food, the dress?

2. Choose a style or theme

Decide on the overall vibe of your wedding eg. classic, boho, rustic, modern.
Use Pinterest to create a mood board of colours and décor ideas to help you.

3. Create a guest list

Start drafting a guest list to get a rough idea of how many people you’ll be inviting.
Do you want a small, intimate wedding or a large celebration?

4. Choose a date and venue

Do you have a preferred season or specific date you’d like to get married on?
Visit potential venues to see which ones suit your style and budget.

5. Hire a Wedding Planner

If your budget allows, hiring a wedding planner can help reduce the stress of planning your own wedding.
Wedding Planners can assist with vendor coordination, logistics and on the day management.

Don’t forget to also celebrate your engagement! 🩷
