This time of year there are lots of pregnant ewes around. As well as continuing to make sure dogs are kept on leads and away from livestock, ewes getting "cast" is also an issue in which the public can be of assistance.
This video shows a cast ewe being righted (although this one is little tubby rather than being in lamb!) This horrendous weather is also not helping as thier fleece can be waterlogged and weigh them down.
If you spot a sheep lying in this position, please feel free to approach slowly and quietly (WITHOUT trusty pooch in tow) and tip it up. It may well leap up before you reach it, and remember today isn't the day to die 🤦‍♀️ but will otherwise be very greatful for your assistance, as will its farmer/slave!

Scanning day for the lady sheeps today!! Our girls will be finding out how many babies they are carrying. Obviously hoping everyone is in lamb, but hopefully not carrying too many!
Waiting with baited breath like an anxious Grandma!

We have fit lambs!!! Please let me know if you would like some yummy home grown, grass fed lamb. Looking to take them beginning of October. We only send to order, so will have 6 whole or 12 halves

We have another handful of store lambs almost ready
I will contact those I have on my reserve list, but let me know if you would like some lamb!!
Raised on the Blackdown Hills and treated like part of the family. All our sheep are only grass fed, making the meat far tastier and less fatty than the supermarket equivalent.
We supply as half or a whole, and deliverered directly from the butcher.
Below is our pet sheep "Muffin". Our Little boys fav, but the most unhelpful sheep to walk this Earth!!
