Poppy Bubbles

Well that’s been a wild week so far. I’ve been to Cortachy, Arbroath, Dundee and Montrose and I’ll be popping up at the Newport festival tomorrow too.

Lots of happy kids and teachers and everyone is on the countdown to the summer hols.

I’m having a day off on Sunday before it starts all over again next week.

It’s been a busy old week at bubble HQ and we’re not nearly finished yet. Wednesday morning I spent at Kingspark school and the evening was for the 6th/8th Boys brigade. Today I was off to Tranent and tomorrow it’s Bathgate and Montrose on Sunday. 😊🫧🫧🚙 I’m pooped already 😂

I’m one very tired bubbleologist today. Up at 4am to get dressed and drive to Edinburgh for a full day at school. 10 sessions with the most energetic characters in an extremely warm room. Then the drive home though all the roadworks. Think I’m in for an early night after all that. 😂🫧🫧

If you are thinking about having some end of term bubbles then please get in touch ASAP. June is filling up and one of the weeks is already fully booked. I would hate for anyone to miss out.

What an amazing day we just had at Camperdown Wildlife Centre. Smallest bubble and I popped up at the bears birthday bash to celebrate with a huge crowd of very excited kids and adults. The sun shone, the activities were all brilliant and the bears had a ball.

Here’s Maja, who has clearly fallen in love with bubbles, having a fun time popping and eating a few. The pictures were captured by the lovely Craig James who is an absolute super star.

I can’t tell you how excited I was to blow bubbles for the bears. It’s made my year and it’s only May. Thank you to everyone who came along today, I hope they’ve made a good amount for Cash for Kids , and a huge thank you to everyone at Camperdown wildlife for having me along and letting me loose in the park. It’s been an excellent day. 😊🐻🫧🫧🎂

This week has shot past and now it’s nearly time to celebrate the bear’s birthday at Camperdown Wildlife Centre. I’ll be popping up from 12 and there’s loads to do so get down early for a full day of fun, birthdays and bubbles. It’s going to be bearilliant and bubbletastic. 😂🫧🫧🫧🐻🐻🐻🎂

Happy International Blowing Bubbles Day! And also a huge Happy 8th Birthday to Poppy Bubbles.

It’s been 8 years since I started this incredible journey to bring bubbles and joy to as many people as possible. Here are some fun stats.

2 Edinburgh Fringe shows (some of which oversold which is even better than selling out)
5 Dundee Fringe Shows
1 First Minister in a bubble
1 pandemic survived (that’s enough, would not recommend)
12000 stickers handed out (approx)
16000 miles driven to events (approx)
1 Bubbletastic birthday bash for Poppy (which we will do again when we hit double figures )
2 long suffering children who have been roped in to the bubble madness
1 long suffering husband who I’m sure must wonder what on earth he signed up for.
1 amazingly supportive family who have shifted schedules, baby sat, delivered kit I forgot and supported me while I traipsed around the country blowing bubbles.

To celebrate this year I am heading to Camperdown Wildlife Centre on Sunday for their fundraising day for Cash for Kids, it would be great to see lots of you there.
