So many of you know and love Holme Head House… and right now, we’re on the verge of losing it.

Holme Head House isn’t just a building.
It’s a place where children can truly be themselves.
A place where they can express, explore, create, and feel safe.

For so many of the children I work with through Pyjama Drama, this space has been everything.
It’s where confidence has grown.
Where friendships have formed.
Where laughter has filled the rooms and children have felt seen.

It’s also been a lifeline for families.
A place of warmth, nourishment, and support… especially through our HAF sessions, where children receive not just activities, but care, connection, and a hot meal.

To think this could be taken away… it just doesn’t sit right.
We need spaces like this.

Free Kellogg’s Breakfast at Morrisons during school holidays

From Monday 16th February families visiting any Morrisons’ 343 Cafes across the country during school holidays will be able to request a free ‘Kellogg’s Breakfast’. This includes a bowl of Kellogg’s cereal (Rice Krispies or Corn Flakes), milk or a milk alternative, and an apple or banana.

The offer is universally accessible, requires no signup, and meets school food standards.

The Soul Space – Family Sound Baths

A calm, cosy space where families can slow down together.

Family Sound Baths are a relaxed experience for children and adults to rest side by side, helping busy bodies and minds settle. Families lie down or sit comfortably on their mats while gentle sounds and simple breathing exercises support relaxation and calm.

There’s no pressure to be perfectly still, children can wriggle, change position and take time to settle. Everything is designed to feel natural, supportive and comfortable.

These sessions are currently for children aged 6–12 and their grown-ups, ideal for children who are happy to follow simple guidance and enjoy quiet moments of rest.

Baby, pre-school and teenager sound bath sessions will be coming soon, each created especially for those age groups.
You can join the waitlist to be the first to hear when they launch.

What families often notice after sessions:

• Calmer moods and emotions
• Better sleep and easier bedtimes
• Improved focus and relaxation
• A lovely sense of connection and together time

Each session begins with a short breathing or mindfulness activity that families can use again at home, followed by a relaxing visualisation story. From there, the sound bath gently unfolds using crystal singing bowls and a gong to support deep rest and calm for both children and adults.

Parents are encouraged to relax fully too, lying down alongside their child and enjoying the experience together.

£22 for one adult and one child
Additional mats: £4 each (maximum 3 extra mats)
Maximum 2 adults per child

Please bring your own mat so everyone is comfy

🚦 Road Safety Week 2025 🚦

What an incredible (and very busy!) week it’s been! Over the last few days alone, I’ve had the privilege of visiting 10 schools to teach vital road safety skills to children in KS1. Helping little ones learn how to stay safe near roads is something I’m truly passionate about, and Road Safety Week is such an important reminder of how essential this work is, not just now, but all year round.

A huge shout-out to every single person and agency working tirelessly behind the scenes to prevent accidents and keep our communities safe. Your dedication makes a real difference, every single day. 🙌

I also want to share a special thank you to Cumberland Council and Westmorland & Furness Council for another year of funding, ensuring these sessions remain completely free for schools across Cumbria. Your support allows children to develop life-long skills that truly matter.

To the wonderful teachers who welcome me into their classrooms, thank you for letting me steal a slice of your very busy day. And to the incredible children… you make every session fun, joyful, and absolutely worthwhile. You’re the reason I do what I do.

💙 Anti-Bullying Week 2025 | 10th – 14th November 💙

At Pyjama Drama North Cumbria, we’re helping children explore kindness, empathy and inclusion through the power of drama and imaginative play.

For 2–4-year-olds, our forty-minute session Bertie and the Rainbow Gang is a magical adventure about a little sea turtle who’s being picked on because he’s not the same colour as his friends. Together, children discover the beauty of difference and the power of kindness.

For 5–7-year-olds, Stormy Weather is an exciting one-hour performance where children meet Storm the Giant and learn that being different can be something truly special.

Both sessions are packed with energy, music, movement, and storytelling — creating a safe space for children to express themselves, celebrate uniqueness, and understand what it really means to be a good friend.

Let’s help every child know that they belong, just as they are.

🚗✨ What a fantastic week it’s been so far visiting schools across Cumbria for our Road Safety sessions! The children have been absolutely brilliant, full of enthusiasm, ideas, and plenty of giggles as they learned all about keeping safe near roads.

We even managed to capture a lovely photo from our visit to the wonderful Temple Sowerby CE Primary School – thank you for such a warm welcome and for taking part with so much energy! 💛

It’s always a joy to see children learning through play, drama, and imagination, and what an important topic to explore together!
