🎧 THINGS PEOPLE SAY TO DJs EVERY WEEKEND 😂
• “Play my song now!”
• “Actually wait… I’m going for a v**e, drink and toilet first.”
• “Can you play it again? I was in the toilet.” 🚽😭
• Announcing a full 90s dance set… immediately getting asked for ABBA 🤦🏻♀️
• Asking for heavy metal in a party/dance venue 💀
• Asking me to skip a song while the whole dancefloor is singing it 😂
• Asking for a super niche unreleased indie remix… then sending the whole friend group over one by one to ask for it 😭
• “The other DJ played it earlier so you MUST have it.”
…The other DJ was me 😂
• Asking for a random 70s song I’ve never heard of… then saying:
“You just use Spotify don’t you? Just search it & how old are you?"
DJ takes deep breath 😭🎧
• “Nobody likes your music anyway, they’re only dancing because they have to.”
…while the dancefloor is literally full 💀
• Refusing to play Queen - We Are The Champions for an Arsenal fan because I’m a Liverpool fan ⚽😭
•Asking to make a request...I reply with "yes what would you like" they start with "I want (insert name of song) and I want it now, and walk off, how about please thank you, safe to say that request went to the bottom of the list 😂
•Standing next to me or staring me out until I play their song
•Asking me to play it next, when I've already planned the next 3 songs
Honestly though, requests ARE always welcome 🙌
Just remember the DJ is trying to keep the whole venue happy, not just one person 😅🎶
