The Exchange Hotel is a significant redevelopment of one of the most prominent buildings in Cardiff. The former Coal Exchange will never serve its original purpose again, but the building and its stories can be saved and shared with the public heading long into the future. In 2016, Signature Living purchased the Exchange Building and set out to transform it into a remarkable hotel with two stunning wedding venues and adjoining bar & restaurant. The luxurious hotel celebrates the building’s heritage which dates back to 1883 when it was erected as the headquarters for the world’s coal industry. The Exchange Hotel has evolved into a bespoke venue which celebrates the building’s past whilst shaping its very bright future.
