🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
As I’m sure you will have noticed, I haven’t done much with this project for a while. Truth be told, I haven’t had the time nor the motivation to really commit to it as much as I’d like.
Originally I had planned for it to be a project to promote gigs around Canterbury, which proved financially and logistically insufficient. I then turned it into a little journalistic endeavour to try and promote as many local and grassroots bands as I could - something it will remain as going forward.
But for now, I’m going to have to put it to bed.
It’s been fun, but my priorities lay with building my performance career with all my wonderful bands: Mister 44 Bad Liar Dogs of Theft and newly announced SILAS. All this, as well as working an almost full-time cleaning job to keep the lights on!
Thanks to all my guests so far:
Puppits
Peter RiffMonkey Humphries
Tom Vane (Famyne)
Cream Soda
Fine Lime
IO Girl Band
Honey Buzzard
Djentleman Jon - The Acoustic Apocalypse
I had a blast with all of you! For those that still have not seen their interviews, I will do everything I can to finish them and put them out.
Anybody that I had lined up and let down... I apologise to. I really wanted to do them, but with an awfully busy schedule and backlog of work with all my projects I just couldn’t get to it!
To anybody that has reached out to 597, I wanna say a massive thank you for wanting to be a part of it. I’m not the only doing interviews at Double Oyster with local bands though. Please check out Ryoko Media and all their awesome stuff. Reach out to them if you haven’t already and I’m sure they’d love to have you on!
Thanks to Ethan Windley and Craig Birt for helping me film my video interviews as well!
Hopefully I can one day achieve my goal of being a full-time professional in the music industry, to which I would then have more time in the week to do stuff with this.
But until then, thanks for watching and support local!!
Jack
