We are incredibly excited to announce that South East Kent Open Deck Nights (SEKODN) will be introducing their own tent at LOVE ON THE RUNWAY Festival this August Bank Holiday at Manston Airport ⛺🔥

Our mission has always been about supporting the local music community, and this summer we’re bringing together 20 talented local DJs to showcase what the Thanet scene is really about 🙌

Whether you’re a seasoned selector or a bedroom DJ looking for your big break, this is your opportunity to play at one of Kent’s biggest festival events alongside some true dance music legends.

🎧 ANNOUNCEMENT: Open Deck Nights across South East Kent! 🎧

Have you been looking for a way to take your mixing out of the bedroom, shed, or garage? You’ve officially found the right page.
Our mission is to give YOU the platform to gain live experience, build your confidence playing for a crowd, and transition from online streaming to the public domain. Whether you're a seasoned selector or stepping up to the decks for the very first time, this is your community.
Here is everything you need to know about how our nights run:

🔊 The Setup & Gear
Production: Full sound system and lighting are completely supplied and managed by our team.

Your Gear: We actively encourage you to bring your own personal consoles/controllers! Laptop combos and controllers will line directly into our master mixer. It doesn't matter what gear you use—it's what you do with it that counts.

House Gear: If you aren't bringing a controller, we will have Technics 1210s, a Pioneer 800 mixer, and a Denon Prime Go (which supports Rekordbox) ready to go.

⏱️ Set Times & Bookings
Sets run between 30 to 60 minutes, ensuring at least 5 DJs get to showcase their talent each night.
Slots are allocated based on location and music style to ensure a cohesive lineup.
How to Apply: Once an event is posted on this page, message us directly with your music genre and the gear you will be bringing.

⚠️ The Golden Rules (Please Read Carefully)
To keep things fair for everyone, we operate a strict booking policy:
Lineups will be confirmed 1 week prior to the event.
Once contacted, you have 12 hours to respond and lock in your slot. If we don't hear back, the slot goes to the next DJ on the backup list.

No-Shows: If you commit to a slot and pull out/no-show twice without a valid reason, you will be removed from the group. We want to respect the time of the artists who are eager to play.

🚀 Levelling Up & Growth
We also host bigger, Genre-Focused Showcase Events about once a month. DJs who actively support the community, share our events, promote the nights, and show confidence in their craft will be fast-tracked for these feature slots!

🤝 More Than Just a Gig
This is a fantastic opportunity to network, share tips, learn from fellow artists, collaborate, and—most importantly—have fun.

MCs are more than welcome to reach out and get involved!

No egos, no agendas—just great music and a proper atmosphere.

Waiting for some more pictures from last night. I was enjoying the Sunset, the Music and the company. Lovely venue - Hopefully we will put a few more nights there over the year. Great to have some new to the Group DJs playing too.
Finally there are some live streams available to have a flick through if you like some Trance and Hard House.
