This summer holidays Reflections Music & The Next Steps Forward are putting on a special 2 day a week Music & Art workshop for 6 Weeks where kids can express themselves, have fun and learn new techniques in music creation, performance & recording with spontaneous art pieces to accompany the themes. We now have a brand new place with fully equipped music recording studio, music practice rooms, wide selection of instruments and a huge art area in our warehouse where it’s fine to splash some paint about! Reflections Music had its 3rd music workshop today at the new place and was a great success! 😃 We had a few keen young drummers in so kick started talking about Tempo and beats in a bar and listening to various songs in different tempos, starting from 60 bpm - 160bpm! From Rock & Roll to House & Soul to Drum & Bass counting and & playing different drums & drum machines along to the beat.
We talked about beats in a bar & then had lunch 🥪
In the afternoon we talked about different genres and then when I and everyone else was bored of my voice we formed a mini band and played along to everyone’s favourite songs to showcase to the parents at pick up! What a great day they really all got into it and was inspiring for all 📀🎧🙌✌️
We will be holding 2 music workshops over the summer holidays at least and will post a flyer for the events soon! 😃
