Muchwood Green Burial Ground

We are looking for someone to supply us with our wooden log vases as shown. It is a natural log with a hole drilled in the top, which is approximately the size of a can of drink. (Must be one large hole not several smaller holes). The overall log size is roughly 40cm high and 25cm diameter on top. Obviously this will vary according to the available log sizes but no smaller. If anyone can supply these in batches as and when needed or knows of anyone who can, please email us at [email protected] Thank you 💚

On Saturday we attended The Wildlife Trust AGM at Abbey College on our doorstep here in Ramsey. It was lovely to chat to all the wildlife and nature enthusiasts about how they can rest in peace amongst the environment they love so much. Planning ahead for the future and reserving your plot now means you get to do things how you wish and frees loved ones from the stress of making these decisions when the time comes. 💚

Ladies outnumbering the gentlemen again at a recent burial at Muchwood. Funeral arranged by AJ Coggles in Downham Market, led by Sam and Sarah and assisted by Nick and Lyn Dillnut of NHD Limousine & Repatriation Service. 💚

Thanks to the recent rainfall the grass is slowly coming back at the site!! Although there are still signs of the heatwave parched earth with the large cracks in places. But it’s getting greener!! 💚

Today friends and relatives gathered for the burial of a well loved lady who had a wonderful sense of humour! Road closures meant that she was “late for her own funeral” which friends said she would have found hilarious!! Friends Jackie, Mary and Anji told of her love of trying new things including belly dancing and t’ai chi!! So a little demo was performed graveside. Dogs Peppy and Daisy behaved throughout and enjoyed a treat and fuss. So although a sad occasion, there were uplifting moments to make this a truly personal funeral.
Funeral arranged by Smiths Funeral Directors in Peterbough and led by Tamara and her immaculate team. 💚

Firefighters from Dogsthorpe, Stanground, the north roaming fire engine, Whittlesey, Huntingdon, Thorney, St Neots, Ramsey and Sawston, along with the water carrier from Ramsey, a specialist 4x4 vehicle from Thorney, and a crew from Oundle in Northamptonshire attended the incident.
