With over 35 years of experience spanning broadcasting, comedy, and executive coaching, Alan is a familiar face across RTÉ, BBC, and Channel 4. Andrew is a Belfast-based Managing Director with extensive executive experience across Ireland, the UK, and Australia. Throughout his career, he has worked at the heart of essential services—including utilities, early education, and healthcare—supporting organisations and teams operating in complex, high-pressure environments.

Through his leadership and involvement with Lena by Inspire, Andrew has developed a deep, practical understanding of the unique challenges faced by emergency service personnel, particularly around mental health, wellbeing, and resilience. He brings a thoughtful, people-focused perspective to our panel, deeply recognising the profound dedication and emotional grit required within the blue light community.

As the Director of the Fire Safety Engineering Research Technology Centre, Professor Nadjai is one of the leading global authorities on fire structural safety and building performance in emergency fire situations. Managing state-of-the-art fire science laboratories across the UK and Ireland, his work directly shapes the safety standards that protect both the public and frontline personnel.

From advising the UK and Northern Ireland governments to sitting on the Standardisation Steering Committee for the Republic of Ireland, Professor Nadjai’s immense research leadership spans decades. With over 200 journal publications alongside his professional memberships and fellowships with the IFE, IStructE, and NSAI, he understands the precise science behind risk, structural integrity, and life safety when things go wrong.
