Busy week last week with balloon gigs in Bridgwater, Weston and Cheddar for completely different events and completely different age ranges.

My Weston gig was at a care home where my favourite line work was a balloon lady riding a Harley Davidson for one of the residents (I had made one for her about 18 months ago as she used to own a Harley and was mad on them) Unfortunately she was bed bound on Friday so popped my head around her door to give it to her. To say she was delighted is a complete understatement! It was a very heartwarming moment especially as she invited me in to show me her new addition - a tattoo of a Harley! In her 80’s - never too late!

Sunday I was in Cheddar with quite honestly, the most fabulous family of the week! Emily owns Sweet Peas Soft Play and was superb. Put on a really good party for her 5 year old and sent me these pictures! No balloon agenda to the party - anything went and by the end, the children were asking for things that an old timer like me didn’t have in her immediate repertoire. Like Spyro! At times like these, thank you Google.

Who’s coming out to play?

Come and grab a balloon of course - St Matthew’s Field (of parkrun, Bridgwater Fair and fireworks fame) in Bridgwater. 10am - 3pm.

Bring plenty of fluids and suncream!

Sooo - today’s brief was:-

Something for a 7 oh birthday for an ex midwife with a farming background who regularly looks after a Boston Terrier called Gary. And then got sent a picture of Gary!

This is what left the building.

Balloons are definitely not just for children! She loved it by all accounts ❤️ And coincidently - she was my midwife when I was pregnant with Ollie so it made it a little bit more special again x
