Quick organic balloon arch outside The Somerset and Dorset (S&D to us locals here in Burnham!) for a charity fun day raising money for Jack Gyde’s Neuroblastoma treatment. Lots of family activities going on including face painting, hair and glitter tattoos, an auction where two holidays could be yours and music from Breeze at 2pm. Oh - and a charity waxing. £1 a strip. The pain…but it is for charity!
Jack is 5. Loves balloons and isn’t very well. They are seeking treatment in the USA for him and every penny counts. There will be collecting tins there ready to be filled.
Two good friends Alfie Lismore-pope and his mum Julie Lench won’t be there as they are currently running the length of Wales! Day 5 today I believe and they are also raising money for Jack and In Charley’s Memory.
If you have have a spare pound even, please donate it. And if you find more under the sofa, that’ll be welcome too. It’s a tough challenge running 320 miles in 11 days. I don’t think anybody realises how understated and hard this is and they haven’t had as much coverage, whoops, admiration or publicity as they deserve imho.

And come to Burnham and Highbridge parkrun on Saturday 3rd August to welcome them back. There will be an icecream van and everything!
