The Corsetry Retreat - XL - 14th - 21st January 2026
We have the exciting news you have all been waiting for! Bookings are now open for our January 2027 event

It will be held at Caer Beris Manor, A beautiful Victorian manor house in the heart of the Welsh countryside, surrounded by parkland and a river (we hear there are resident otters… but we still haven't seen them!).

We should rarely call this XL an XXL retreat! As we have added an extra day to the schedule, this upcoming XL retreat will be our longest ever giving you extra time to indulge in your sewing and for some people getting closer to finishing your own bespoke made to measure corset that you have drafted from your own measurements to your own design. (not everybody will finish please be aware of your skill level, experience and speed and give yourself realistic expectations)

Our ‘Extra Long’ retreats incorporate everything you've come to know and love about our classic corsetry retreat events plus so much more! The most obvious being more time, the three extra days, give you more time to delve into the construction of your corset under the guidance of our tutors, indulge in your sewing and maybe even go home with a finished corset, or a corset that is well on its way! The other extra feature of our XL events is an exciting schedule of visiting speakers giving extra talks and demos. We have 2 guest speakers booked already with more to be announced.

Constance MacKenzie - Constance will be presenting a talk on Stylish sportswear and exercise corsets

Win 3 days of 1-2-1 teaching with Misty!

Misty is the owner and creative genius behind MistyCouture and has made more corsets for Drag Race and other fabulous productions than you can count.
She’s offering one lucky winner the chance to create a single-layered underbust corset with her at her studio in Manchester, get a behind-the-scenes look at her work, and learn the processes, techniques, and secrets behind the beautiful corsets she creates.

During the workshop, you’ll make a herringbone coutil underbust corset using a mix of both internal and external bone channels, learning the different construction techniques Misty uses in her own creations.

The teaching will total approximately 24 hours (including lunch breaks). This can be arranged over 2 or 3 days, depending on your preference and at a mutually convenient time for you both.

All Profits from the raffle will go towards The Corsetry Retreat Bursary Fund

This special Prize Draw is a collaboration between our team and attendees of the Alumni 2026 Retreat, created to raise funds for our Bursary Fund.

The corset itself is truly one-of-a-kind: a burgundy silk cinchier generously donated by Moody Corsetry, beautifully embellished with black and gold lace, intricate beading, embroidery, goldwork, and crystals—each detail contributed with care and creativity.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and ongoing fundraising efforts, we’ve already been able to offer three fully funded retreat places. We’re incredibly proud of this, and we’d love to go even further.

Applications are now open for our October and November 2026 retreats, and with your help, we hope to fund another bursary place for our January 2027 retreat (dates to be announced).

Truly magical to see how creative our attendees are outside of sewing. For the Thursday night of the alumni retreat we were surprised with a cabaret show ran by some of the mischievous attendees of the retreat. What a way to go into our spring/summer break!

The hardest part of makeing a corset for yourself is the fitting, at the corsetry retreat you will draft your own pattern from scratch and then we will help you fit it to your body to ensure your corset is a great fit.
