🍺Please share this post and Support Your Local Pub 🍺
This isn’t something we’d usually post, but we need your support. Across the UK, pubs are closing at an alarming rate, around two every single day, and for small, independent locals like ours, the pressure is very real. Rising costs in every area are making it harder than ever just to keep the doors open.
We’re a small, family-run business, and this pub really is our life. We employ 15 wonderful staff, who we see very much as part of our extended family. We’re incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and the warm, welcoming place we all work hard to create together 🥰
More than anything, this pub is about people. It’s a place where no one has to feel alone, where friendships are made, and where so many of you who walked in as customers have become friends. We’ve watched families grow, hosted special occasions, and shared in so many important moments over the years. That’s what makes this place so special to us 🤍
We truly love what we do. Being part of your lives, your celebrations, your catch-ups and quiet moments means more to us than we can put into words. But the reality is, the rising cost of stock and supplier increases to higher employer contributions, energy bills, and all the everyday costs behind the scenes, is making it very hard for us. We do our best to keep things running the right way and to look after everyone who works here, but once all those costs are covered, there’s very little left 😏
If you’ve ever spent time with us, whether it’s for a big celebration or just a quick drink, we’d love to welcome you back. Bring your friends, bring your family, and help us keep this little community going 😊
We don’t want to become another statistic 🥺
Thank you, genuinely, for your continued support and for being such a big part of our journey.
