I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Bromley Experts by Experience (X by X) for inviting me to perform at this years Disability Pride Event in Bromley this Saturday. It was a thrilling experience to be the first performer (quite nerve-wracking, right!) and sing two songs that hold a special place in my heart. I hope the audience could connect with them.
I am deeply thankful for your advocacy and support for individuals with visible or hidden disabilities, like myself. You provide us with a platform to express ourselves, which is truly commendable. Your work leaves me in awe!
After a busy day, I spent the evening celebrating and fundraising for another one of my chosen charities, The MumMum Foundation, which is also one of the Worshipful Mayor of Bromley selected charities. Kudos to Gary Valentine Fuller Michelle Harvey and Kirsty Valentine-Fuller for their relentless support to families like mine when a loved one is battling cancer. I feel privileged to be a part of this noble cause. Also, a shout-out to the amazing singer who performed with such energy and power! It was a delight to listen to her voice! (I'll share her link in the comments!)
It was wonderful to see the Worshipful Mayor of Bromley at both events! (He even noticed my trainers, which was a little wardrobe mishap! 🤣🫣) I am truly honored to know you. Your respect, gratitude, care, and appreciation for the Bromley community is commendable. I have never felt more accepted and appreciated than when I am in your company. Having such a kind and supportive Mayor and Mayoress (let alone the family and friends that stand with you) who are so grounded, is truly special! You give so much of your time, which for many people like me living in the community, fills us with acceptance and hope.
A big thank you to the X by X event organisers for providing the equipment and handling the sound engineering, which can be quite intimidating if you're not trained. Jamie, in particular, went the extra mile to learn how to do it and smashed it! He's a man of many talents, so well done and thank you, Jamie!
Also Well done to all the acts and the fabulous Presenter! Especially Tiana, who by daughter said “mummy she is so pretty and kind and I love her voice.” I see soo much greatness, power and strength in you and can’t wait to work together more!…
Also a Huge Thank You to my husband for his unwavering support behind the scenes, even sharing his Birthday (and family) to such wonderful causes!
Many know me for my Consultancy Work and dedication to support those around me, to feel empowered and striving whether that’s personally or professionally… well this part of my soul is put out there for those who need the power of song. Care Homes, Charity, Funerals, Hospital Visits… these are the places I like to sing and share a gift which comforts others! So thank you to all those who put their faith in me to help create memories or offer some solace within a song!
Remember… You can rise up and be proud of each day you're here, no matter how small your steps may be! For some of us, it's as simple as getting out of bed or even breathing. I see you… Be proud ♥️
