Crazy weather. A pandemic. International flight cancellations. Enforced quarantines. A total change of plans - twice. When Rachel & MJ eventually said ‘I do’, it was against all the odds. It may have been plan C but wow, what a day!

After helping the couple negotiate all the changes, we loved creating this magnificent microwedding at last summer with stunning blooms by and an insane spread by all captured perfectly by . If you have to keep it small, this is the way to do it.

Looking forward to creating many more stylish intimate celebrations when lockdown finally lifts - one day soon please 🙏🏻💕

🍬🍬🍬Loving all the summer pastels but not sure how to translate that into a big-day scheme? Use the palest of sugary shades - a rainbow vibe (think ) keeps it current. Use colour sparingly- on a white backdrop or a half-dip effect (like this mani by ) keeps it from becoming too sickly sweet. Introduce graphic shapes (hello dream swirly candles from ), sculptural blooms (check out our pastels shoot with ) and modern, pared-back textures (like .lionheart’s cool sugarwork-topped masterpiece) to complete the look 💜🤍💜

Today’s is all about looking UP. The often overlooked space above is a brilliant place to add interest, even in small or pared-back venues. From giant flower balls that created when we styled the immense high beams of , to lush green forest which transformed understated or ’s dried masterpiece .court we’re always in awe of the magic a great florist can create. Dressing a blank canvas on a budget? Booking a very white venue, like a photography studio or gallery space, might seem daunting but using colourful elements in clever ways can really pull it together. Sculptural vases and bottles with statement blooms along the centre of tables, swags of pigment-rich fabric suspended from the ceiling or dried blooms around the edge of the room looks👌 Our advice? Just choose ONE element and run with it- any more and it might turn from a chic to clown vibe @ London, Unιted Kingdom
