Millie Watts x BDF ☀️

We’re delighted to welcome Millie Watts to our Summer Rooftop Party this Saturday … Millie is a knowledgeable and versatile selector with a deep passion for sounds on the fringes of electronic dance music. As a proud member of the esteemed Defected Records family, her work in A&R has honed her sharp ear and eclectic taste.

Fresh back from Defected Croatia, where she shared the stage with David Rodigan, Natasha Diggs, Aroop Roy and Melvo Baptiste, another one of Millie’s highlights this year was an intimate set for Faro and Lev presents at the BBE Store.

Renowned for her seamless genre-blending, Millie weaves house, broken beat, UK funky, and a range of other sounds into sets that get the dance floor moving.

The Tropical Disco Records co-owner has been good friends of ours over the last 7 years. With nearly 30 years in the music industry, he seamlessly blends disco, US garage, house, and techno, making him a favorite at festivals and venues worldwide.

He has chalked up over 25 Traxsource No. 1 hits and millions of streams on Spotify, with his music becoming a staple for disco lovers. Remixes for the likes of Dave Lee, Rhyze, and John Davis have showcased his ability to infuse tracks with an irresistible groove and flair.

He joins us again this Saturday for our summer rooftop party along with .jn and many more.

- Doors open at 5.30pm

- PHYSICAL PHOTO ID: Bring valid and in date Physical Photo ID - a photo of a passport on a phone will not suffice. You will not be admitted without it

We are delighted to welcome the rising star Saint Lukez this Saturday for our summer rooftop party, spinning back to back with fellow digger, Chris Wheatley.

Widely known for his popular series ‘Rare House Gems’ on social media, Luke has been spreading the sound and culture of ‘hard to find’ house records to all corners of the virtual world.

After gaining a great deal of traction, he’s now appearing as a DJ, sharing his collection and devoted passion for underground dance music. Having spent time working at Love Vinyl, one of London’s most critically acclaimed record stores, he is always developing his knowledge, learning from the incredibly erudite owners and their expertise in music.

Growing up mainly as an instrumentalist and producer, Luke was encouraged by a few friends to start mixing vinyl. With an ever-growing record collection, his selective taste and love for authentic house music, made vinyl grow to be an essential part of his lifestyle. His sound is encapsulated by all things deep & soulful and lays no boundaries as to how it may evolve. Championing the slogan ‘Make House Deep Again’ and pushing out music to the younger generation to keep the sound.

Charlie Dark joined Brixton Disco Festival back in May for a long overdue debut performance, spinning a gloriously eclectic extended 3 hour set at the centre for Black British History, the Black Cultural Archives, in Windrush Square.

This Saturday, Charlie is playing outdoors once again in Brixton, Up On The Roof - alongside the legendary -at Norman’s long-running rooftop residency at the venue.

Marcia x BDF x BCA Memories ❤️

Some lovely memories of Marcia Carr’s wonderful set at this year’s Brixton Disco Festival back in May.

Marcia has become a huge part of what BDF is over the last 3 years, and her performances at Black Cultural Archives have been a real highlight of our annual multi-venue festival. We’re just disappointed we hadn’t booked her sooner!
