Did you know? Despite the name, the term ‘wedding breakfast’ rarely involves bacon and eggs! The tradition dates back to a time when the bride and groom would fast before the ceremony, making their first meal together as a married couple the one that “broke” their fast. While today’s celebrations are more likely to feature afternoon champagne and a three course feast than an early morning breakfast, the name has remained a much loved nod to wedding tradition and history!
