It’s hard to post something ‘celebratory’ today - even if I am a celebrant and that’s, well, my thing.

It’s hard not to get weighed down and sad and angry and incredulous and hopeless and exhausted - yet again - by the way men insist on defining what a woman is and how a woman should exist in this world.

It’s hurting me so I can’t imagine how much it might be hurting my trans siblings.

All I know is that love exists. And it exists in a BIG way. I will always be here for couples who want to celebrate, solidify and share that love in a way that only increases its beauty and power.

The Little Book of Humanist Weddings, by Andrew Copson and Alice Roberts is packed full of verses, quotes, meditations and original material designed to deliver wedding inspiration in droves. I like to leaf through it with my couples at our planning meetings, and then give them time on their own with it too. Diverse, sensitive and utterly romantic in its approach, there is something for everyone in this book.
