The good people at the Flow Observatorium are running a survey for neurodivergent people in the arts - if you have time, they'd love to hear about your experience! Thanks to the lovely T.E. Yates for passing this on to us x

"We feel the barriers faced by Neurodivergent creative people and the barriers faced by neurotypical creative people are frequently very different both as a makers and audience members.

We have been funded by Arts Council England to find the most common barriers to engagement in the arts encountered by Neurodivergent people. As well as this survey will also be chatting to artists in several online round tables about the barriers they face and compiling a publication that will outline these barriers.

We will also be doing further work to identify the causes and ways we can dismantle them.

To help us with our research into barriers faced by Neurodivergent people in the arts, we have created a short survey that only takes 10 minutes to complete. We are interested in the lived experience of Neurodivergent creatives and have aimed this survey specifically for them to express their perspective."

Take this survey powered by surveymonkey.com. Create your own surveys for free.

Our Story

Since 2015, Uncollective has been committed to providing an intersectional and co-produced platform for the arts, across the South West (UK) and beyond. From our humble beginnings running Space 37 (a DIY venue and project space) to curating projects with Tate St. Ives and producing work for the BBC, we have always believed in the importance of supporting marginalised and underrepresented artists and communities. We have a specific focus (both personally and professionally) on neurodiversity, gender equality, q***r artists and environmental and social causes. After co-producing Langaland Festival for 3 years, 2020 will see us moving on to work with Transcend Festival and continue to deliver live events, workshops and artist-led projects across the UK. We'll also be continuing to expand Uncollective Records, a non-profit label and artist development programme for artists we think deserve attention. There is no formal membership process for Uncollective - we have no official sign up process, no hierarchy and no centralised space. Anyone is welcome to contact us and participate in our projects. No one is turned away, and everyone is invited to be a member for life with no obligations. We are Uncollective and we love you!
