Rob Ótico PsyTech, Techno and Psytrance DJ

Head Honcho at Omnium Bristol
Owner of Deem Tracks
🐸 Resident with Tribe of Frog ES 🐸
🐸 Regular with Tribe of Frog UK 🐸

Rob Ótico started off as a hard trance and techno DJ playing across the south of the UK. In the mid 2000's he focused solely on techno and progressive house before being invovled win a serious accident in 2004 resulting in the amputation of his right leg above the knee. In 2018 he got back into DJing and since then he has held several residencies in Bristol and also for Tribe of Frog in Spain. He

also brought his own unique direction into a one off Emotive event where he supported John 00 Fleming. Having been wanting to change name for a while, but unsure of what to change it to - a young boy walking with his father saw Rob walking with his prosthetic leg and shouted "Papa, Papa... Robotico, Robotico".... and so, the name Rob Ótico was born.

I honestly can't believe the news this morning, and I'm struggling to find words.

is one of the most influential people I have ever worked with.
Harvey is the one that taught me the method I now use to convert a collection of sounds into an organic arrangement - a process I use Every. Single. Time in my tracks.
So every track I produce - they all contain Harvey

During our sessions he morphed from a mentor into a friend, and we had some seriously deep, honest and vulnerable chats - some sessions we never even opened Ableton.

I don't know the circumstances, but I do know I am proper feeling this loss.

Fly free brother - I'm sure gonna miss you

Seriously looking forward to playing The Grid stage at next month 😍

So the parts are in, all installed and all that's left is to tweak the alignment of my prosthetic for smooth walking.

I really am so so grateful for all the support I have received since I posted about this, and without your donations I wouldn't have been able to fund the deposit!

I still need to raise the remaining money by the end of May, and the link to the donations page is in my bio, so if you are able to donate and/or share I will be extremely grateful.

Can't wait to see you at in June 😍

I'm honestly blown away by the support I have received since putting out this appeal!

The sheer scope of petite this has reached is insane, and so many people who I don't know have donated - I find that astonishing.

In recent times we are bombarded with "them Vs us" and divisive messaging and propaganda, but this just shows how much love and unity still exists.

I'm going to go on record and say I fu***ng love you guys!

Honestly... This means so much! I'm really looking forward to bringing you the next massive update on Thursday when I should be getting the new parts fitted, and show you exactly what you're helping to fund.
The clinic have generously allowed me to receive the parts before the full amount is paid. This allows me to get back to everyday life whilst we raise the remaining funds.

If you see me on a dancefloor somewhere and you've donated, please come and say hello because I would dearly love to thank you in person!

Much love

Truly blown away by the support I have received! Over 40% raised in under a week!

Thank you so, so much!

The good news is the parts have been shipped from Australia, so we're just waiting for an ETA for them to arrive in the UK and then to get a fitting date!

I really can't do this is your support!
