PIX AND BLEEPS
I'm an artist, video artist and DJ based in Bristol. I have a deep love of interesting electronic music. I mix my own analogue video art and digital animation for my DJ sets and for other music events. I started out many years ago as a VJ mixing chill out visuals and promoting electronica nights with OPGroover. I like to play all manner of electronic music but I love techno as it’s such a broad and varied genre. My sets are often a mixture of techno, electronica, acid, tech house and breaks. I fell in love electronic music in my teens listening to bands like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, The Orb, Autechre, Aphex Twin , HIA, Black Dog, Orbital, The Irresistible Force. I also got addicted to the energy of acid house and techno, partying deep in the northern underground free party scene in the 90’s. I took some time away from my involvement in the electronic music scene to raise a family. In 2017 I started mixing tunes and creating visuals again. Let year I played at Brighton Electric, Full Circle Festival, Duvet Vous, House of Disco and Loop in Bristol. I also co-run B Beats and we have raised the roof, and raised money for bee conservation, with our regular House, Breaks and Techno night called Buzz at club414. This year B Beats has had two successful BUZZ nights at club414, I performed live analogue visuals for Machina Bristronica at the Marble Factory in Bristol, I DJed for the epic Minotaur Sound at Basement 45 and performed visuals for In The Machine at Basement 45. I’ve also had DJ/VJ slots at some of my fave summer festivals including The Unfairground Broke Britain Bar and Shangrila Crew Bar at Glasto, Chill Out Tent and The Woods at Full Circle Festival and DJ and VJ sets coming up soon in the The Woodland Dome at Shambala Festival.
